I didn't realise there was talk about an appointment before I posted, I tend to keep out of the gossip these days. As @Prehab26 found there's some absolute idiots on RTG etc who live to pull people up if things don't go as they've predicted. They're sad but can only justify their pitiful existence by maintaining their stance, the takeover must've hurt a few when it came off.

The message I had was from a wealthy Italian friend, ex-boss, in Switzerland who has zero interest in football but a big involvement in finance, hence his location.

That makes me think it may be someone coming onto the board or whatever, not to do with the football side.

And dare I say that for it to pique somebody like their interest, it’s likely to be a high profile character. Either mummy or her financier husband?

As I say he has zero interest in football and finds my passion a bit weird.

If he's noticed something regarding Sunderland it won't be the new home shirt in his size <laugh>
