In our first season in league1 losing home and away to swindon 1-0.......goodness I took some **** at work for that.
The day/evening we lost 2-0 away to Rochdale has to be the worst for me. Absolutely dreadful, football has never pissed me off so much.
Drawing 2-2 with Blackpool with a Bart howler. Had we won that, we would have won the league and had the most post-war consecutive home league wins, but instead are tied with Liverpool (I think).

But surely the fabulous fish n chips right opposite the away turnstyle took the edge of slightly.
2004. We lost 1-0 and were dreadful. Kevin Phillips hit the post in the last minute which was pretty much our only effort. It gave Pompey hope of staying up and they went on to only lose 1 of their last 10 games and finish 13th. Before that they looked doomed.
I'm sure I haven't made this up because it was a big deal at the time. I remember the talk was that they were going down if we beat them.
