Brid - my fond memory is this... a brilliant summer season...
'64 and my parents spotted me with a cig in my mouth as I was collecting fares on the back of a bumper-car on the ride in Brown's Amusements.
It did not go down well being a 17 year old staying away for the summer for the first time.
Good job they never got wind of me waking up in a farmer's field just outside Driffield after a particular heavy drinking session - a bloody cabbage patch to boot.
Never found out what happened to the lass I was with that night !
The jukebox in the cafe attached to the Brown's Arcade was salvation...
i once slept in a few tatey sacks on brid golf course.cannot remember what band was on at the spa.

How many episodes? Finally, Stranger Things is back.
Gonna be a long night when I get home to binge it.
Really enjoyed it so far, the attention to detail is amazing too 80's wise.Well, looking at the clock, that was a long time. Didn't feel like it though.
****ing great stuff as always. Obviously early days but that might be the best series of the three.
Oh, and Hatem...![]()
Seen a few ads for Britannia upcoming on Sky , enjoyed that the first time round and they should let you download the lot as soon as the first episode goes out.
As always Dennis spot on !I know the rest of you are out clubbing with fit and attractive persons of your choice right now, but if anyone has slipped a disc during enthusiastic love making and is therefore still in at half eleven on a Friday night...Public Service Broadcasting on BBC4 Proms is a bit ****ing good (not as good as the alternative maybe...but decent nevertheless)
The rest of you can **** off
