I have to say that this is the best thing I've watched in a long time

Decent weekend. A new Finnish programme on tonight to fulfil the need for a Saturday night subtitle fest. Then tomorrow a new series of .Mcdonald and Dodds. Which clashes with Bloodland so will have to catch up on one later.
Saw Bloodlands last week and found it almost over-realistic, too dark and dreary for me after months of lockdown. I much preferred Lupin which I watched all of last night. Serious drama but with a lightness of touch and a bit of humour, much more to my taste at the moment. If you haven't seen Omar Sy in 'The Intouchables' you've missed a treat.
Seems we are opposites. Enjoyed Bloodlands but wasn't struck on Lupin. Each to their own I guess...
Not on netflix but Im sure you can find it to watch it, series is on apple tv

I've enjoyed the unforgotten series on ITV, and this new one is shaping up to be as good as the past ones.
Binge watched the full series, it was really good.

Watched a couple of the Leeds U fly on the wall docs yesterday on Prime ? Had to laugh at Ex City James Mooney wearing a stone island jacket. They have a fabulous set up at Boston Spa which makes us look almost like North Ferriby in comparision with Mill House Woods Lane.. They must have been pig sick when a little club like us were above them and in the PL for all that time. .
The episodes I watched were of the season they missed out on Promotion and were beaten by Derby in the Play Off's, then when they eventually went up. What struck me was how much of an enormous deal it was to the club and city of leeds when they finally got back in the PL. Compared to how our council and to a certain extent parts of this city and region almost chose to ignore it when we did it. The comparisons couldn't have been further apart.
It left me feeling a bit empty and envious really. We had all that, and in only our second season the novelty was already wearing off with many.
The way we prepared for the start of our second trip to the PL was disgraceful compared to the hype and way leeds went about preparing.
We really did thrown a huge, huge opportunity out of the window for club and city.
Adam Pearson must have felt a bit envious too if he watched it, and I'm sure he must have done.

Agree.The reaction in some quarters to reaching the top flight for the first time in 100 years was more muted than in cities where this has happened many times. Also remember when Wigan got promoted to the PL. Their mayor was on TV before their first game against Chelsea saying how marvellous it was and how they had got more world wide publicity that week than in all its history. (Don't forget Wigan had the most successful ever Rugby league club). Meanwhile the front page of the HDM led with a warning from Humberside Plod that the police would be cracking down on City crowds and everyone should behave, giving the impression you were taking your life in the hands goingbto the KC. Little Wigan could cope with the arrival of 3,000 Chelsea fans but they would have problems with handfuls of away fans. Sometimes you wonder if Hull is a city or a small town.
Also worth watching, a documentary on last night about my favourite non City player, Denis Law.
Just watching on More4 a three episode series about Putin's rise to power. Learnt a lot of stuff I never knew.
The Fog of War a documentary about Robert McNamara US defence secretary is excellent
