Any player we've bought tends to have played their best before us and or there after.
Test case no:1 - SWP, he's now peaking as a club mascot.

Interesting about Junior going to Cardiff... moving to a club in the same division suggests he's getting a decent wedge and probably a longer contract

Be interesting to see if that makes him hungry to prove himself or complacent and lazy in the knowledge the cash is rolling in... but I know which side I would put my money on...

Sol Bamba and Junior Hoilett set to join Neil Warnock's Cardiff City

During his time with Blackburn, Junior Hoilett had loan spells at German clubs SC Paderborn and FC St Pauli

New Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock is set to sign defender Sol Bamba and winger Junior Hoilett.

Bamba, 31, left Leeds United in September while Hoilett is also a free agent having left QPR in the summer.
Canadian Hoilett is being brought in to provide pace on the Bluebirds' flanks.

Ivory Coast international Bamba will help bolster a defence that has conceded 19 league goals this season and left Cardiff second from bottom of the Championship.

Canada international Hoilett was seen as one of the brightest young players in the Premier League.
His progress has been hampered by injury in recent seasons, but in 2015-16 he made 31 appearances for QPR and scored six goals.

Hoilett is set to be involved when Warnock takes charge of his first Cardiff game as Bristol City visit the Welsh capital on Friday, 14 October.
That game could also see Ivory Coast international Bamba's introduction following his departure from Elland Road for "personal reasons".

New Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock says he does not like certain aspects of modern football and that players should "get off the bus and sign autographs" rather than walk past fans while wearing headphones.

I think that Coin will do well at Cardiff. I also think that Junior going there will result in this being a make or break season for him - he could either screw up a football career by thinking he had already made it, or realise that after leaving us, and the lack of offers he obviously thought were going to arrive he needs to start producing on a more regular basis.
Also Colin can't really fail. Granted he has 30 odd games to turn things around but the man is a motivator and has players playing for him.
 
Heard him on radio this am. Said he'd spoken to 4 clubs. Two had appointed foreign managers, one an English one and one who didn't have a clue what they were doing!
I'm assuming we weren't one of those four?
