Erm...where have I trashed him? During his first spell he initially over saw Championship survival and then having put together a decent spine of a side and accommodated a once in a lifetime maverick won the Championship. Maybe it was wrong of TF to get ride of him when he did but will never know for sure. His 2nd stint in charge was like pulling teeth the style of football that he adopted and if he'd said at the outset that he would like the managers job full time then the likelihood was that TF would have said yes, but he didn't, he was apparently angling after Ferdinand's job. That's not trashing him.........but he is the past, thanks for the memories, but we move on.
We already been back once, and proved that old verbiage wrong! Go back for more! Colin for me is the only Manager who I could actually see getting us promoted this season, and would be worth a punt now. If he has gone to Cardiff the opportunity has probably gone. If so I hope Jimmy gets a bit more time to build on the positives from Fulham and sort out the problems.
Talking about our present squad getting promoted this season, with any manager at the helm, is absolutely fantastical.
Not that I disagree with you, but there is also "Better the devil you know" Had his day(s) with us and some great memories of that one season for which we are grateful, personally I prefer to look to the future, even if the path is full of trepidation.
I think people have short memories. The football under Benny was so good we got rid (and just about everyone on here was moaning about him or was glad when he went). The amazing football we are witnessing under JFH is mind blowing! And he is the Future! That performance against Newcastle(a record breaker) that even kept the happy clappers quite for a couple of days was truly a class performance. So I guess a scrappy 1-0 at Reading with NW in charge isn't that bad after all.
It's not worth the amount of fapping it's received. People said we were **** when we won 1-0 at Wigan this season in a similar performance. Both games could just as easily have been 1-0 defeats.
Well, he's with Cardiff. So lets see what happens. I for one as you know am a huge Uncle Colin advocate, so when he visits us in March (if he is still Cardiff boss at that time as fickle as owners are these days), I will welcome him back with open arms and a standing ovation. That match will be excellent fun either way.
Spot on Yappy and so will I. People bitch about NW but at the end of the day he got us promoted. Benny couldn't with Charlie and Co and it will be the same with JFH. They will go turncoat when we lose a few more.
people bitch about rednapp as well but at the end of the day harry got us promoted too dont suppose too many will be welcoming him back with open arms
I bitched about Harry because he only got us up via the play-off's and we had a good team. I bitched when we kept him for that Prem season. I bitched even more, when you could see it going wrong when West Ham smashed us and he came out saying "we'll be alright". That's why I am bitching about JFH because I see the same ending. It will all end in bitching.
Beat you. I bitched about Redknapp when it was only a rumour he was coming to our club. And I was right, RIGHT I TELL YOU!
