Oh nice, i trust BBC, cause their news is usually days after SSN, but they were on the ball with this one! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13927387.stm
He is a good signing for you boys, he will give 100% in every game he plays and has a very good footballing brain!!! Glad he decided to stay in English football, would have been a wasted talent in Jockland Good luck next season, and I hope Neil works out for you. He helped us stay up two years on the bounce, he deserves a fresh challenge.
He's deffo signed as there is no mention of "we understand " etc. Kasper should be this afternoon and CMS may be but West Ham are going to offer again so we will be fighting it out with the Hammers for CMS.
Showing our intent to get promoted with these signings will hopefully persuade other quality players that a move here will be in their best interests.
Whoa where did this come from?! Really didn't expect this news today. Good player who can make things happen - I've been saying we needed a bit more pace. Sven's done really well to tempt him away from Rangers, most players would have gone there instead. Also credit to Danns himself for looking at the bigger picture that he could be in the Prem soon.
I think this is a good signing for you. As the name suggests I live in Leicester but support Palace and I watch Leicester alot due to the mrs being a STH. Think Danns would be a hit at the Walkers, he will compliment Wellens very well has the same tenacity that is one of Wellens' strengths but also Danns has a bit of an eye for goal. Gutted to be losing him, will be happy to get Yuki as part of a swap? No didn't think so
Very pleased with this signing. Hopefully a striker (or two/three) and a goalkeeper will follow quickly. Next week looking for Mee and Vitor announcements plus the left back loan confirmation. Things are moving smoothly.
Midfield is going to be interesting. I don't think Sven is thinking of using a holding midfielder unless he's going to tell Wellens to play that role - I can see us having a very attacking line up. I mean surely - Wellens, King, Danns, Gallagher should all be first teamers in theory? And with a lack of out-and-out wingers (currently) it suggests sticking with a 4-3-3?
I'd say with Danns' pace, he could probably be stuck on the wing if required. But yeah, I agree, all signs point towards 4-3-3 being Sven's preferred formation.
