Off to REAL SALT LAKE to play MLS soccer. Would seem a very sensible move. Best of luck Ned.
To be fair to him, it probably is easier to fly from the USA to see his family in the North of England than it is to get a train from London.

Dave Mac suggested players leaving us who were on a big wedge are surprised when they find other clubs don't offer the same over inflated salaries. Probably why Ned is heading for the states.

Interesting that they weren't surprised when we offered those wages to them in the first place 'cos they were worth it. Yeah. Sure thing.

Am I correct in thinking that the ‘Real’ in Real Madrid means ‘Royal’? If so, has some arse decided to pinch it because it sounds cool without really knowing what it really means? Or has Salt Lake City actually received royal patronage?

Folklore has it, the club was awarded its name by Megan Markle who dated several of the players

I think it is something to do with the King's team whereas Barcelona are the People's team......but not 100% sure

The word real is Spanish for "royal" and was bestowed to the club by King Alfonso XIII in 1920 together with the royal crown in the emblem.

I think there's another Salt Lake but filled with a low sodium alternative.

Don't get your Salt Lake FCs mixed up and accept no substitutes (unless for injury or tactical reasons).

Thanks.

Is there a Denver Mönchengladbach or perhaps a Hadjuk Syracuse? There should be.

Best of the lot is a team we regularly played in our early years and one that I played against in the early 80s in the Southern Amateur League called Crouch End Vampires, still going strong today. I'm sure Bushman tweeted a programme from the turn of the last century QPR V Crouch End Vampires...
