Nassau, I don't know how you do it. The work involved must be enormous? Great that your system is up 67.3 pts; well deserved.

 

Thank you. Fortunately most of the process is automated, the bets place themselves and all the systems are exported daily. The only time constraint is the results, which I do manually. Not particularly time consuming thankfully!!

An odd one yesterday, with a 16.33 winner with 2pts. Plus a 6.8 and 5.5 winner.

However it was Monsieur Lambrays which was the cruel cut for the thread. He won his race at 53.18 BSP, but he went across the second in the finish and got thrown out by the stewards. Turning a potential 50pt profit from the horse into a 1pt loss for the thread. The joy of Betfair exchange market I guess. (I did cash out for 10pt profit but won't record that in the systems)

So before today the thread stands at +91.65 (996pts staked)

 

It is very interesting, and it doesn't surprise me that bookmakers are being much smarter with tipsters and tracking of bets. The fact that the internet is so easy to mine for information allows big organisations with resources to track what is happening and plan preventative measures to stop people being profitable off other peoples work.

Personally I don't read tipsters, it doesn't appeal to me but I guess this thread is most similar to the work of Andrew Mount who is an angles tipster.

This thread worked on the proviso that I was backing win only and the exchange provides a "fair" market for the bets at SP, and whilst I haven't retraced the bets through to morning prices as such, I expect the BSP is working as well as bookmakers morning prices as many of the bets are long priced and aren't being hampered by the tipsters!

Always rigged that sham, strange old business though , riding around in wooden crates covered in gold leaf, seeking deference from all around. Dictators and monarchs only kinds that do this.
Be better if they had trotting cabs, and raced them.....

 

A couple old boy, one with Royal Ascot respected trainers and then one draw based for handicaps under 9 furlongs. Be interesting to see how they go next week.

 

Another good set of results yesterday with 6.93, 8.7 and 3.1 BSP winners. This took the bank back over the +100 state again. Now stands at +105.76 before todays select few.

The draw at Ascot in recent terms has been Biased with a capital 'B'. And seemingly no change in '22 if the Victoria Cup is anything to go by. First 3 home drawn 27-26-28.

 

A postscript to this remark. The Charlton's Sinjarri has just drawn stall 33 of 33 in the Hunt Cup!

Looking at last years race it was a huge, huge advantage to be either drawn very high or very low.
