Do you believe that any of this would have happened without PL pressures? Personally I will happily suffer the doldrums of lower league than ransom our name to top-tier football.

Your compromise rationale is illogical. Why should I change my opinion that no name-change is acceptable simply because some outsiders say we should consider it. Will a compromise make his actions, insults and non-existent business plan any more acceptable? Hull Tigers or Hull City Tigers (which you seem to favour) are both name-changes and I am against any name-change as I think it totally unnecessary and divisive; just as the experts around him have counselled him (and then left his employ). You are right, a compromise will (probably) not be agreed, so let's see what the FA have to say for themselves, while the compromisers dilute the focus.

I have lost respect for a number of posters (regarding this topic) as their insistence on a name-change, by any degree, is totally unacceptable to me. I recall you stating that you are anti-name-change, but that you would not wish to be associated with CTWD for your own reasons. Now you are clearly advocating a compromise name - that is, a name-change, I believe. I can just about manage to understand why someone can be against the (any) name-change and still wish Allam to stay; although I will be glad to be rid of him and his manipulative ways. How long after a name-change takes place do you think the Stadium connivance will take to raise its ugly head?

You say I am acting as a tyrant - how is that then, all I put forward is an opinion on a forum and challenge others; I have no power in the matter other than a clear and unambiguous voice that doesn't get caught up in the politics of it all. If you want me to consider you a Hull City supporter then support the name; that's usually a good place to start.

I certainly thought that in the case of the Bubble protest, but in this I disagree. He challenged supporters to not attend (he later gave them permission to die at will) if they disagreed, he offered a cock-eyed money-back offer to season ticket-holders and has generally been an arrogant tosser. I like football, but I begrudge putting a single penny into the Allam coffers while he progresses his campaign against the clubs name, so I don't. I don't expect anyone else to follow my particular example.
 
I just wish they would just get this whole name thing over and done with, then you lot can vote with your feet and boycott the home games, send AA a message.

I am 100% against the name change, but will re-new my season ticket if we are Hull Tigers next year.My gut reaction was to call it a day after over 50 years following City but as my wife said "Its a big part of your life why let this take it away,besides I don't want you at home with a face like thunder every other Saturday".The people who are in favour of the name change are taking a very simplistic view when they say "If you don't like it don't attend games", I suspect quite a few will be like me, their love for City will be stronger than the dislike for stupid messing about with our name.

I have total respect for people who won't be going next year,but it is a step too far for me.I will go to the KC and some away games and that will be it , I have cancelled Tiger Player stopped buying refreshments at half time (no great sacrifice), and for the first Christmas for years my three sons and I asked my wife to buy nothing from the club shop.If enough people do this and I know quite a few who have it might make Mr.Allam treat his core support with some consideration .

If the name change by some ill-fortune is approved the usual suspects on here will be saying they were right all along as the KC is still virtually full and ignore the sizable chunk of that crowd who would remain CTWD.

Actually no, the comments have changed significantly.

And Bob Carolgees and his foul tirade are gaining more support for Allam then anything he says himself.

Hence my post and my point of view. Sometimes in life, love and sport there has to be a compromise.

I've no idea which post it refers to, but it speaks volumes on the desperation of the handful of pro (or at least maybe not anti..erm) name changers that their 'arguments' have been reduced to hoping people prefer them to some random comment. Funny thing is, they don't seem to exist on other boards, but spend much of their time complaining at bias on here.

I guess it all masks the fact that there simply can't be any good reason to change the name or surely someone would have posted it by now?
 
I think CTWD are now realising they mean nothing .. you are a band of brothers he does not want to see at games .

With the large amount of repetitive clap trap & continuous trolling by the Disciples can this thread be closed?

There have been numerous Pro AA threads, numerous Long threads (even though there's a Jan tran thread), numerous Jellybitch threads (see Long's brackets).

With the NCT there are at times numerous different articles, items, ideas & opinions being discussed at any one time, all of which are continually being trolled by AA's Disciples. The thread is pointless. It is only here because the Disciples requested it.

All future name change threads should be given threads of their own. It is a relevant subject matter with many different areas of discussion all of which cannot be discussed if full under a single thread title.

Or perhaps you haven't read it, like you haven't read Bob Carolgees finely worded support of your position.

I've yet to see any constructive alternative to the random abuse the "anti Allam" brigade trot out in response to anything they construe as support for the name change. Ignoring the "relationship" you have with Cheshire Ben, do you really think his foul mouthed replies on here help your cause?
