Each year we aren't paying him 80,000,000 x 0.05, unless we haven't started paying off the principal of the loan. If we're just giving him interest payments, then yes you're correct, but that hardly makes sense unless he's not interested in recouping his loan and just wants a revenue stream. It's like people just paying the interest on their mortgage, they only do that if they're going to sell the house in 10 years at double the value or something like that.

So in reality we've probably got a repayment structure set up where we're giving him maybe 5,000,000 or more a year, so the real maths is Principal for Year 2 = Principal for Year 1 - (Repayment amount -[Principal for Year 1 x 0.05]). Just to use a bit of finance. :p So each year while we are paying him a constant amount, the amount of interest would be decreasing. Of course that is offset by additional transfers and additional loans. What I don't understand is why there isn't someone at the club who is able to determine whether or not they want to accept these loans. Fairly sure there's something not quite right with essentially loaning personal money and then drawing a return from it. I suppose he owns the company, but it doesn't seem right to me.
Not reducing the loans maintains his interest repayments and maximises his group tax losses muscle.

Yes BUT everyone could go to the game and vote no ,
:-)
so still prove that there's a majoriy.

Personally I hope he stays.

HULL CITY OR HULL TIGERS.

BUT he is welcome to **** off if he wants .

What he said yesterday was a threat.

I don't like threats.

Were I would have been pissed off IF he walked.

Right now I couldn't give a ****.

HULL CITY / HULL TIGERS I would still go.

Yet if its Hull City he says he will walk.

If there was a boycott of a game......right now I wouldn't go.

Not because of the name change stuff but because of his cnutish
Threats yesterday.

Grrrrrr

I was joking Filey, that he'd pull a ballot when there's a boycott from the infidels. I don't for a minute believe he'll engage the fans whatsoever

The thing that some of these owners fail to realise is that a football club is part of the community, and charging the ground is one thing, but changing the name or colours of the home shirts is something else. Owners from overseas might plough in money but they don't and never will own the club, without the fans the club would cease to exist and if Hull City FC owner really loved the club like he has said he does why is he threatening to walk away. It will Forever be Hull City not Hull Tigers, if he want's Hull Tigers why does he not start a zoo?.

So you have a majority obi

But you won't call for a boycott of the next home game to show the world you have the majority

Sorry Filey but a boycott will never happen, even for me. We are still Hull City and want to support the team that represents that name.

I didn't say we had a majority. I've no idea if we have a majority or not. The question could have been settled by allowing a ballot at the Chelsea match, but Assem Allam stopped it.

Whether we have a majority or not is now irrelevant. It is up to the FA to make the decision. We'll rely on the postcards and the on-line and paper petition to impress the FA.

Finally I don't see why boycotting a Hull City match would help us keep our name? The decision will be made by the FA. Boycotting the match would have no affect on the FA.

A boycott would show how strong a feeling is held by how many. Just one game. Would have a much greater impact than a poll on both the club, and the FA, not to mention the PL.

Actually I think you wouldn't because you know it wouldn't be well supported. So you choose to not do something you know would do you harm.

To be honest I don't understand this. I support Hull City. I am opposed to the name change and have campaigned against it. On this board and in the CTWD committee I suggest and fight for things that will help that goal.

I don't see how a boycott would help that aim. This could be my last season at the KC and I'm not into playing games just to suit you. So if you really think a boycott would help persuade the FA to reject the application please sit down at your computer and explain it.

Obi, I am with you on this.

A boycott will not work.

Just some thoughts:
Next seasons passes will be late and cost more

There will be no season pass sales in E1-2-3, that area will be made a total family zone.

No bulk moves, East stand will be spread out amongst then South and West Stands.

Bronze, silver and gold match system will add 30% to the average season pass.

If supporters stay away it will be because of the price change and nothing to do with the name.

Do we have any idea on what grounds the FA could reject Mr Allam's application and is there an appeals procedure for either outcome?

Thought Palios gave some ideas on the 5live link olm posted earlier.

Was based around grass roots input & traditions & whether the name change would actaully benefit the club.

2 criteria ..

1 - is there another club under that name

2 - is there a "lower level club" local under that name ...

(these are both from and east riding FA rep just so you know)

that's it sorry to say (following on the MK dons principle) which to be fair they lost control .. but if they were to "write" new rules .. it will take a lot longer than this season so expect it regardless
