nothing to do with CTWD - gifts don't attract any interest cos they're a gift - Allam should convert his loan to equity and stop ****ing about - the club has never been in such a financial mess
But the running costs of the club exceed its income. For a trust to raise the money needed to be able to pass the financial fitness test its membership would in my simply thick none qualified way would have to have 10000 members who paid £1650 as an initial payment, with monthly payments at £25 per member, for no guarantee of a return. They would be investing in the promise of a club with no assets and even if the club had the KC the return on an expanded stadium would compromise the profits for at least five years.
Fantasy stuff. We will see how many of our supporters are willing to part with £15 tomorrow night to watch the team in the FA Cup 5th Round Replay. Are 'members' also supporters ? Because in my experience of this sort of thing, and yes, it's been attempted before at City, you would be lucky to get a 1,000 or so genuinely interested parties who's borrowing power at the Bank would be debatable. It would be a struggle to fund a club the size of North Ferriby.
Pathetic bollocks and you know it. You know full well the "gift" was saving the club from extinction.
and that's pathetic bollocks - the club was only £30mill in debt - it wouldn't have been extinct - look at other clubs in much worse positions - are they extinct? - we'd have had an administrator operating the club and they would have dealt with the creditors who would either have to wait, reduce their expectations or allow the club to go bankrupt but then they would probably lose everything - I agree we would be bottom tier as we couldn't afford to buy/pay quality players but we would still be going - so his gift is converting a £30 mill debt into a £100 mill debt - some ****ing gift eh - the only difference being he gets paid £5mill a year in interest instead of £1.5 mill - oh yes and we're even more totally ****ed financially if he decides to pull the plug
Oh thats ok then is it. So you agree it wasnt a gift of 30 million now so thats a start, cos i'd seriously doubt anyones mental health if they thought a random business man gives away 30 million quid. He cant pull the plug and you know that too, guess you and CTWD want that and a plummet through the leagues so you can hopefully get the club and run it "properly".
We where close to insolvency, the football debts would have to have been paid for us to play, even if we ended up in the conference we would not have been able to play as under their rules which are far harder. Hull City had only one thing going for it and that was it was in the championship. Take that away and we actually had nothing other than TV rights money that had been borrowed against.
Eh? You’ve previously written that you didn’t trust them or their intentions: ‘I don’t want any of them near MY club’. But apart from that, you think they’re all great.
For crying out loud, Chazz - (as far as I understand it) CTWD are thinking of a minority stake (= participation) in the Club, at some time in the future. The 'Doctor' proposed that, at or around the time of his acquiring the Club.
Why didnt he offer Tigers co op a share at the time? In fact why where Tigers co op not beating a path to his door at the time? He wanted 8m for a 20% stake. Now I dont think 8m would get a 5% stake, in fact I dont think it would even get 2%.
Probably because, like a fair few things he's said, he didn't have any intention of doing so. Things just fly off his tongue, willy-nilly, to suit the audience and the occasion. The man behaves like a complete turd.
Sure. Individually and away from CTWD I bet they're all smashing blokes. Together with CTWD, no, I do not trust them. What's wrong with that?
I think generally there are a few sound business men looking at this and thinking "kids" ... CTWD have no idea of running a club or having a stake in it ... its laughable ... you have facts and figures but dismiss them as they don't pander to your argument ... look at the bigger picture please and I will repeat I am not FOR the name change , I am all for letting the owner do what he wants to do if he feels it in the interest long term of our club
So why would a bunch of ‘smashing blokes’, when coming together through a shared passion, become full of malevolent machinations? Are they like a group of individually charming schoolkids that should have to be set apart for fear they’d lead each other astray?
Hey, nice description of them from you. It's the pack mentality thing kicking in. Like certain groups of fans who think its perfectly acceptable to shout abuse and generally act in a totally unacceptable way at a game, who wouldn't act like that away from the confines of a stadium. Individually I'm sure they're lovely fellas, when they get together as CTWD, not so much.
Naturally, I understand your analogy, just doesn’t seem to fit with the moderate CTWD that I’ve seen. So, what are you basing this ‘pack mentality’ on that you parallel with anti-social behaviour in the stadium? What actions have you seen that justifies such an observation? Have you been to any of the meetings? I’m supposing you imagine that meeting at Tigers Lair as some sort of putsch or perhaps a group of men egging each other on to draw nobs and fannies on pictures of Allam.
