You're probably right. I think he'll give it a couple of tournaments to see how he's doing.
Going out with a whimper/injured at Wimbledon would be a sad end.

Probably the best player GB has ever produced. Can only wish him well and hope he doesn't do one tournament too many.
Such a shame for it to end like this, he should be in the prime of his career right now but his body has failed on him.
The greatest player to come from these shores, at least in the Open Era. He would've dominated had he not been around during the same time as Federer/Nadal.
Looking the toxic wasteland that is social media, some people are criticising him for being upset, suggesting he has no reason to be upset due to how much money he has, as if that makes up for the fact you can no longer do the thing you a) love, and b) have done your entire life, regardless of finance.
I was listening to talksport this morning on the drive to work and Alan Brazil was having a go at Murray, telling him to 'man up' - I find that an absolutely disgusting response, as a radio presenter who broadcasts to an audience largely consisting of males should know to be more careful. We already live in a society where men are scared of showing emotions and talking about mental health. At the same time, talksport is owned by The S*n, so I shouldn't be surprised in the ****ishness on show.

Never really liked him as a person, though I did warm to him a little bit as time passed and he matured.
However there is no doubt of his talent, drive and dedication to the sport and his achievements are remarkable and he deserves all the plaudits coming his way.
It's a pity it is having to end like this, but it is the result of the rigours he has put his body through to reach the top.
Good luck to him in the future whatever he decides to do.

I did say probably, because you could argue all night about who the competition was, etc.
Doesn't make him the best though. Perry played in a different era. Can't really compare the two. It is interesting reading about Perry, his strong points and weak ones.
Even greats like Rod Laver would struggle now given the changes in the game and playing against players who would tower over them. In the last 30 years the only player under 6' tall to win Wimbledon were Andre Agassi and Leyton Hewitt.
You can say that about any sportsman in any sport, the fact is Perry won far more than Murray, making him the most successful British tennis player to date.
Then there numerous British footballerswho were better than George Best. Or Gascoigne.
I said he was the most successful, I didn't say anything about him being the best.
