Here's another home grown lad that weve lost for nothing. Its pretty sickening to read really. Its funny because after starting his career as a holding midfielder for us we then didnt have a clue which position was his strongest, and then ended up just letting him slip away for nothing.
It looks like Norwich have sussed it and weaping the rewards...

He was ****e for us in all honesty, no one could have predicted that.

he was never given the chance to shine, can't agree with your findings, the same applies to all academy players if they are not given the chance we will never find out, we are league 1 FFS and most of the academy players who left are playing at a higher standard now

Bali Mumba
Logan Pye
Joe Hugill
Luca Stephenson
Sam Greenwood

All sold for pennies to fund Stewie's ego trip of owning a football club with a working lift
We won't know for a while how those 4 will progress. Greenwood is the only one to have signed a senior contract with Leeds and hasn't played a game.

Don't get me wrong it's wrong that they appear to have been touted around but there's a **** load of hot young talent that never makes it

Hugill was training with the Man Utd first team last season and was tipped to be on the verge of the matchday squad

Safe to say he'd be more than capable of playing L1 football

I agree but he hasn't yet. Out of all the younguns he was the one i was most disappointed to lose however he's done nothing yet so time will tell.

I wonder how many England u18's and 21's from the last 5 years are currently playing top flight football.? (that's just me just thinking aloud and something i might look into)

Part of the problem has been we have now had three managers in this ****e league who refuse to play our best young players. Can’t blame the young lads for wanting to leave when they don’t get a look in. If they can’t get a game for us in league one, then when will they get a chance? The club needs a massive restructure. All that money plowed into the academy, with **** all to show for it.

He only played 4 games in the championship for Norwich. He still hasn't made it with them, yet. He's not going to get his game in the premier league when he has the likes of Aarons in front of him. Maybe they'll loan him out now he's signed a new contract.

that's why we need to give the young guys more cameo roles, to prove they can step up like you were advocating under Parkinson, in fact i remember you were the first to shout for Sanderson to be played when the injuries started cropping up.

Managers live and die by performances on the pitch would you agree? If so then don't you think that at least one of the managers would have given them a chance?

If 3 managers don't select someone then i wonder if there's something that they've all seen but we as fans don't

Some of our supporters don't realise the step up in class from u23 to league one level.

Still giggling at his statement about the academy. That's when you know somebody is on the wind up ;)

im sure he means before Donald took us to the cleaners, must admit he had a lot of us fooled, hindsight is a great thing, I can remember people getting slated for calling Donald a chancer wish i had agreed with them at the time:(
Pickford and Henderson were before Donald's time? Henderson has captained his side to a champions league trophy. Him and Pickford have just been playing in the final of the European Championships.

'All that money ploughed into it' was paid back and more by Pickford and Henderson's transfer fees alone. He was just being silly with that comment.
