I do believe he brought them to the table, I'm just not sure he was able to finish that job because the grim reality is that I don't think we will be profitable while moving forward for many, many years. SD and co have made us 'profitable' this year by not spending money and generally cutting any semblance of ambition both on and off the pitch. Maybe you know more from your contact, but I suspect the projections of Donald and Methven were questioned extremely heavily and in great detail to find out how the club will actually drive forward while not turning into a Short style money-pit in the Championship and early Premier league years.

Essentially if we're not in the Championship, I don't see them taking the leap, and even then, I think they'd do a good long DD again because frankly, it's well documented how big a commitment this is and how easily it becomes a financial black hole.

Obviously they're clever blokes, but lots of people are. Finding the right person to get us out of this will be tough even if they started tomorrow.

I very much doubt that's a primary concern for the Americans tbh.

We have to buy our way out of 2 divisions before the amount of 'profit' involved would be of much interest.

We need to spend on at least one manager, numerous players, scouting, etc before we can move on.

There's a balance between cost cutting and revenue to be found.

Get promoted, with low paid players who can be sold and replaced and it's success.

Fail to go up with highly paid players you're stuck with and you need to spend again.

Donald banked on Plan A and now he's in a downward spiral where he needs to put things right or lose his shirt.

Yet he’s a coward for switching message boards. I think you need to look up a definition of coward, because the first part is exactly the definition of one.
