The best thing that can,and will, happen is for us to stuff Hull City on Saturday and then Brucie might keep his gob shut!!
Of course it was Steve Bruce initiating the conversation. Reporters wouldn't possibly have forgotten to post the question he was responding to now would they?![]()
so it's the reporters fault? jesus wept, it's not just Bruce who has no dignity. looks like he's at the right club. why can't he just say "i've moved on from then, my only focus is preparing my team to get a win on saturday" or some such like. but he can't coz he's a bitter, whinging tossbag.

If you asked me to identify the bitter, whinging tossbag here, it wouldn't be Bruce ...
You are almost duty bound to stick up for Bruce..but give it time you will see what we are talking about. he has been in management long enough to know that results make or break a manager. His results and performances of the team were shocking...very simple. He is hiding behind this Geordie thing because his pride is hurt for getting sacked...every morning this guy would come into work and pass a statue of Bob Stokoe....another Geordie, who actually played for the mags...his argument has no basis on fact and any way whatsoever.

This.
After moving from the likes of Sheffield Utd, Huddersfield and Birmingham then Wigan, he stepped up to a club with a far bigger history and financial clout in Sunderland. Whilst we are not one of the big players we carry a massive fan base and more ambition and Bruce was backed in the transfer market to move us on. However, as quickly as he brought on big names he lost them. As much as he did build he demolished. We finished higher on the league but those positions masked the perilous nature of them and one or two defeats would have seen us in relegation places.
Bruce was sacked because he couldn't hack it with bigger responsibilities and his results and standard of football were totally rubbish. 2 home game wins in 20 odd games was one of the worst records in our history. He had the second worst win ratio only better than the Mick McCarthy relegation record holders.
The mag link was only used at the very death and in no way was the initial reasoning. Even after the humiliating 5-1 defeat at Sid James we stuck with him. Hull City fans quite rightly defend their man but will soon come to realise his limitations. That said, being just another smaller club, he may well better fit their ambitions and stay around.
Looking forward to the fat lads excuses tomorrow if they don't win as it will provably still be our fans fault if they give him stick today.

100% correct.
I was there for the 5-1 and we crept onto the pitch, were crap and crept off.
I've obviously no idea what Bruce had said to the players but it's the first time I've ever seen Sunderland players come onto a derby pitch waving white flags.
As you say, even after that disgrace we still backed the fat ****er and did until he starting blaming the supporters for our **** football.
If he had dignity the size of his gob he'd be a much better man ............... as for Hull supporters blaming journalists for tricking him into whining about Sunderland![]()

And managers are now obligated to answer every question thrown at them are they?
The horrible, ugly, fat, two faced skunk should have just said I'm here to talk about Hull.
And for your and Mr Hard done by Bruce's information, let me explain.
I hate the skunks with a passion always have always will, I supported Bob Stokoe and I supported Bruce.
Both left here because they were past their sell by date.
It had nothing to do with their roots.
And Bruce isn't even a ****ing Geordie!
He is a fat lying bastard using his boyhood allegiance, to mask how **** he had my team playing.

Don't expect people from the lost world of Hull to know the difference mate ...... if the specimens on here are anything to go by.
I can handle snide comments about Sunderland from people who live in beautiful parts of the country but Hull
Do they think we've never been there and seen what a ****hole it is?
And of course he couldn't say "I'm not at Sunderland any more I want to talk about hull"? No? Bitter is certainly his tipple. He has gone on about this for years now.
We fully backed him. Less than 2% of our fans disliked him and used the "Geordie" line but most of us simply thought he had llost the plot.
He couldn't wait to have a dig at us when they asked him about Sunderland. He was almost giddy in his retort. Wasn't interested in talking about Hull though! Are you happy about that? Pre match for us when we played Wigan was always about Sunderland not Wigan

Someone posed the question earlier but I don't think I saw a response, given that since Bruce left you've done relatively badly, I'd say worse than when he was there, you certainly haven't been able to emulate a 10th place league finish (regardless of league tightness) is it not time for you to start questioning more than just the manager?
I mean Di Canio, O'Neil, Bruce, Keane, when was the last time you had a manager who you didn't blame all your problems on? Who keeps recruiting such poor managers if they're the one's who are at fault?
Will Poyet be gone by March and suddenly it was all his fault as well?

Bruce took us to the lofty position of 10th place with a squad that should have been European material. Given the squad Bruce had, he should have brought us European football.
Malbranque, Zenden, Muntari, Bent, Gyan, Welbeck, Henderson, Mignolet, Sessegnon, Mensah, Cattermole, Richardson, Onuoha, Gordon to name a few.
Today, we are still recovering from the utter shambles of the Bruce 'squad rebuild' year, following on from the 10th place season. It won't be long until Hull are plummeting toward relegation, Bruce will assure you of that.
