Well arse, I knew it was due but this one of the few grounds I actually really enjoyed going to watch us at. Felt proper and that.
Bulldozers have begun demolition of one of the last standing terraces in English professional football.

Peterborough United's Moy's End should be knocked down by Christmas and a new 2,500-seat stand should be in place by next summer.

I enjoyed standing on that away end.

Good little ground London Road.

Be interesting to see what the new stand will be like.

.

Agreed. Being denied the chance to stand at football grounds is far worse than any name change.

Shame as i bet you could get more than 2,500 standing fans in the Moys End than the new plastic stand will have.

Standing is a right denied and a massive tradition which has been lost sadly for many.

KC Stadium should have something even a little like that instead of letting the sound drift away.

The sound doesn't drift away. Not enough people singing is the reason. Have a look at videos on youtube of Aris in Greece, same size ground as KC with no roof at all and it is deafening. The reason being that everyone is joining in. Sheffield Wednesday's Kop was as well when it had no roof int he days when you could have put the whole attendance of the KC on it.

I can't help thinking though, that standing up encourages people to sing and join in with chants. That might be in my mind, and I don't think all of a ground should be standing either, but a good sized section would surely help with noise. It might just be tbh, that those that want to stand up in a section like that are just the types who would sing and chant anyhow.

Whatever happened to the safe standing campaign?

I think pretty much everyone will agree with that.
