Off Topic Moving House

Saved up for the deposit on our first house. Went nowhere spent nowt.

Cost £2000. Mortgage repayment £20.50 per month and it was a struggle.

Nothing`s changed, the only difference is the decimal point is in a different place.

Was kind of my point. I only worded it badly because of the poster i was replying to.

Pros and cons of buying v renting.

Buying wins for me( but like you say getting enough for your first deposit can be a killer. Go nowhere do nowt for ages) but if you manage it then you own the house.

Renting. My sister rents and has no intentions of ever buying. If something brakes or packs up, they come and fix it. So i can see her point of view.

Then you have 83 who buy houses to rent them out. I like his stratedgy. Not sure id have the balls to do that

Unless I move back in with my parents, I can't spend nothing..... My rent is relatively low in fairness and I put away a fair amount each month. Still going to take me a few years before I have a suitable amount to act as a deposit. Ideally they will bring back 100% mortgages. That would solve my problems straight away.....
It'll be quite a while before 100% mortgages come back, if they ever do . . . . I do mortgages regularly and need to 'jump through hoops' to get a 95% loan never mind one with no deposit :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Good luck, marra . . . . there are worse predicaments to be in :emoticon-0105-wink:

Sorry mate. But i cant understand.

This is part of the problem. Yoy expect us to.

As for top poster. Blah.
We have had this conversation before though Comm. I don't expect anybody to understand, so as I've said, please ask questions. I'm upfront about what I've got to live with and I'd love people to have a better understanding of this condition. I believe mental health awareness does need to be raised overall.

To be fair, the majority of posters on here do seem to have a basic understanding at least, where compassion and understanding is shown, when required. I'm assuming because of mental health becoming more common these days, with more people being diagnosed, then I would have imagined people have probably took a little look at it themselves just for a touch of self education. When I see something being talked about and I don't understand it, I look it up. That's what people do.

You keep saying 'you expect us to understand'. Could you clarify who exactly 'us' is? I want to approach them myself and ask them why they haven't approached me themselves instead of whinging on to you, which at the moment is what I'm assuming is happening as you seem to be speaking on behalf of them.
