I do still think Klopp has what it takes to turn Liverpool into a force but he's going to need time, and perhaps more than Liverpool's owners would ordinarily give their managers.

His Dortmund success was centred around some superb players procured through an unrivalled scouting system and academy system overflowing with ability. Those aren't the sorts of things you can install overnight.

I'm hoping they stick with him, partly because he deserves time, but mostly because I don't want l'Arse to snap him up when Whinger finally disappears.

Yep, I agree. Given time I think he will do well. Whether he gets it or not is another matter!

I said this at the time that they appointed him. That swashbuckling, all-conquering Dortmund team that made him famous was superior in every department to this Liverpool team. There's a heck of a lot of deadwood to shift before he can seriously start rebuilding. Liverpool make me laugh in that they're basically a 1-2 year echo of Spurs. The two teams are closest in terms of financial clout and wage bills. We sell our superstar and spend the money on some magic beans; a year later they do the same. We spend the next year somehow muddling along and finish 6th, they too spend the following year muddling along to a 6th place finish. We say enough's enough and appoint a new manager with a long-term vision, and after his first season we see a massive clear out of deadwood. Sound similar? Liverpool are essentially a slower, less intuitive version of ourselves, mimicking our every mistake - bizarrely expecting the results to be different.

After your third loss to the Spammers this season and being beneath the train-wreck that is Everton in the PL, I think that you have the greater need?
 
Herr Klopp says that he should not be mistaken for the magician David Copperfield. An interesting statement as the Mousers reaction to his appointment suggests that a magician was exactly what they were expecting. Unfortunately for them...

Professional Mouser and part-time Scot, Alan Hansen, says about his beloved mid-table battlers:

“You could say they need to spend £100m, but where does that get you in today’s market? If they are going to have a real go it needs to be more like £200m – but you can’t just snap your fingers and solve the problem.”

Hmmm, £200m?....I don't know exactly...but I calculate that to be a ****ing lot of hub caps...a really large number, lots!

I don't think there are that many hub-caps in the whole of the UK, they will have to get into Europe first...........Chicken and egg???????

Didn't they already have £200m to 'give it a go with'? That went well didn't it!
