What the Mousers don't seem to grasp is that we've been there and done that (as regards CL footy), and it's a lot harder to hold onto that these Mousers seem to understand. Having one great year and getting into the CL is all well and good, but one swallow does not make a Summer, and I don't think it is wise for any Mouser to begin the crowing until 'Pool has proven that it can repeat this freaky season.

Oh the irony. You've had one flash in the pan CL season for years. That's your glory. We've done it year after year. 2005 won it. 2007 final. And now back into it again after a couple of years out. Which stage are you on on the 5 stages of grief, HIAG? I would say denial, seeing as you clearly haven't accepted that there will be no quick fix to your current situation nor are we going to suddenly fall from grace again back to the realms of 7th

I don't think we need to drastically rebuild the squad. Yes, it needs strengthening in certain areas. In others, we could afford to let some players go. What we really do need is proper management and probably, coaching. As I've said before, the main differences between us are, you have Rodgers and Suarez. Do you really think you'd be where you are now if you'd kept "King Kenny"?

The main difference is that we have more quality players who have been supported by a good manager who is supported by good owners. As for Kenny, he put us back on the road towards regeneration and people like you are too myopic to understand that.

But the league shows that you do need re-building. 2 managers in 1 season testify to just how poor your team and squad actually are. That's not opinion it's results.

But if he goes you are not taking into account that BR has possibly already got a replacement in mind, maybe not as prolific but possibly along with maybe another attacker already on the books(Borini), he already has to got to bolster the defence no matter if Suarez stays or goes and the more spending money due to any sale would come in extremely handy.

All it's,but's and maybe's.<laugh>

But I think he'll give us at least one more season based on us making sure of qualifying for the CL and BR's transfer dealings before and after the WC.

If Suarez does go, then can you please just replace him with Borini? He's bloody awful.
Has anyone seen what the fuss was about with him, as I've yet to find anything vaguely inspiring in his game.
Bound to bag a hat-trick against us in his next game, now that I've said that! <laugh>

Red, which ever way you cut it, the plain and simple truth is that 'Pool are only where they are today due to the fact that certain better and bigger teams (United, Chavs, Arsenal, us) have screwed up (by each of those club's respectively high standards) on where we should have been this season. The idea that we are all going to screw up two seasons on the bounce is rather fanciful. And the fact that neither you nor your fellow Mousers can see that fact is the very reason why this thread exists.

To be a good WUM, you have to make your tripe believable. Who is going to believe that Spurs are bigger and better than Liverpool when on aggregate this season you are 9-0 down...lol Must try harder

Been where and done what "as regards CL footy"?

Who did you add to your squad from last season?

Again, there are some shortcomings in our squad. But, in general, we have some very good players - they just have not been managed properly.

As to Dalgleish, I fear it's you that is myopic. As a manager, he did nothing for your club. Admittedly he was aided and abetted by two dreadful owners and a self promoting idiot called, Comolli. But, all the same, poor..piss poor!.

Our team and squad are not that bad, our leadership, however, is!...

It's like shooting fish in a barrel, or taking an oozy to a turkey shoot.

Dalgliesh was never manager of Liverpool under the Hicks and Gillett ownership. He did however pick the team off the floor after the stewardship of Hodgson. Interestingly the style of play that he re-introduced was built upon by Rodgers who had arrived with a more Swansea style objective.

Forgive me but if you offered Liverpool your whole squad then I think that you would probably only get an offer for LLoris. In our estimation your team is that bad. Whilst us supporters did rate Eriksenn and Sigurdsonn I believe that the majority of us are now pleased that we missed out on both.

They've had one season in the CL and now they're preaching to Liverpool about how they've been there and done that. <laugh> Fack me, exiting at the QF would be a bad season for us just 5 years ago, QFs are their biggest ever achievement <laugh>

Hey, Chuckles! It's only me doing the "preaching." I've been on the wind up with you lads for months, now, and you still don't get it.

Anyhoo, from now on you may refer to me as Pastor HIAG. Praise be, to the Lord!
