What do you get if you cross a Monkey with a Mouser?

Nothing. The monkeys are far too clever to screw a Liverpudlian.

:)

"Liverpool are up to ninth in the table, with 28 points from 20 games. Off the back of this result they will be hoping to kick on and climb the Premier League table in 2013. A fit and firing Luis Suarez will be key to their fortunes."

<doh>
The 'Pool-loving media simply cannot help themselves, can they!

Just listening to the press pass on talk sport and Patrick Barclay has just said if the league started from today Liverpool would definitely finish top 4. He then went on to say how amazing Liverpool fans were and they they would always give the manager time. Err Roy Hodgson anyone?
That comment has really annoyed me as basically he is saying Liverpool would definitely finish above 2 of Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal unless he thinks they would honestly be challenging the Manchester clubs.
Just because they beat the bottom of the league team 3-0. It was a good result I'm not taking anything away from Liverpool but its such an over reaction comment. Paddy Barclay does generally talk ****e though.

Can't see any problem with it, we ARE hoping to kick on from this result and climb the Premier League table in 2013.<doh>

People like Barclay speak for themselves crackerman, their views don't represent the club.

A bit like HIAG.

BBF, "Mouser" is merely short for "Mickey Mouser." It's cockney rhyming slang for "Scouser."

"Mickey Mouser" is a particular apt expression, because, not only does it rhyme nicely with "Scouser" (all pukker cockney slang must rhyme, son), but 'Pool also happens to be a Mickey Mouser outfit, these days.

All the best cockney rhyming slang makes that kind of concise political and social comment.

<laugh> It is annoying when journalists go over the top about your club though. Some idiot in the mail was banging on about Watford the other day and how we're doing really well and are a good shout to go up - I''d much prefer to stay under the radar and not have people making stupid predictions. Too many people use those articles to ridicule the club and not the author

Kate, that's all well and good, but it does rather arrogantly assume that the teams above you will ALL slip up. It isn't going to happen, is it? Stoke, WBA and Everton are all better than 'Pool, so let's not even talk about the top 5 teams!

It is all part of the Mouser delusion that one result against arguably the worst team in the division, and suddenly 'Pool is back to its Glory Days of the 70s and 80s. You're not.

It's any excuse for a street party, for you Mousers. You'll all be out in force on the back streets of Merseyside tonight, wearing your best shell-suits, and dancing the night away to Cilla Black records. Don't try and convince me otherwise.

That's true Page I wasn't having a go at Liverpool fans its just the over reaction from the press. There was no mention that all the top 5 clubs won especially Man City, Spurs and Chelsea who had difficult away games.
Good result for you today you are turning into the old Spurs, consistently inconsistent!

Would love to stay and chat but the street party is in full swing, Cilla's 'Anyone who had a heart' is blasting out.<whistle>

We've had the despair of being tonked at home by Villa, followed by the euphoria of sticking 4 past Fulham, to the ineptitude of their capitulation at Stoke to their swagger in thumping QPR.

It makes you schizophrenic just thinking about it.

Rodgers can't make the game, and the team seem to play better - presumably because they weren't mentally trying to work out what his management speak twaddle meant in real English for the first twenty minutes of each half instead of play the match they were in...

Indeed, Little Luke. Us normal fans can do nothing but stand in awe at the Mousers' ability to vacillate between joy and despair between the weeks. It is part of their delusion that they do so. They despair at being tonked by sides clearly better than themselves, but break out the bunting and shell-suits when they beat fodder. In reality, of course, this is what mid-table teams do all season. It is the reason why us normal fans are irked by the 'Pool-loving media, which declares title-hopes renewed with every victory against the fodder-sides.

The prime reason why this thread exists is to try to restore some degree of balance, and thereby assist the wayward Mouser in re-orientating his team's expectations.

Just released the latest pic of HIAG on his way to Anfield:

it would if you weren't lying.

There's no swagger. Why you lie? QPR were poor and it was over by 28 mins. I wouldn't even say Suarez had a blinder, he looked less than 100% today.

Sterling made good runs but had a poor end product, a few games off would do him good. We failed to add to the score but we didn't concede silly goals either

euphoria of sticking 4 past Fulham < Man, you just make stuff up as you go along

Shouldn't you be stating Arry is a great manager, better than Rafa and.. that he'll be managing a Championship team next season will your messiah <laugh>
