Gerrard has dived more times than Eduardo, who did it once against Celtic. Feel free to prove me wrong.

In most games Gerard spends more time on his back than a 2 bob whore. And he's England's captain![]()
To be fair, I do think that Gerrard has been punished unfairly for one or two high-profile dives that he did to con the ref. One was where he "threw" his trailing leg out behind him as he was actually diving, and video replays showed clearly that there had been no contact.
Suarez, on the other hand, is up there with the likes of Eduardo.
The only real diver that we had was Klinsman, and he made a joke out of the whole thing.
It's ingrained in the DNA of your club though. in his autobiography, Jimmy Melia said that Bill Shankly used to encourage the players to practise diving in training as he felt that it was fair game and if other teams wanted ti do it they should feel free to do so. It was part iof the reason Jimmy left Anfield.
It's also a well known fact that Liverpool's double season of 1986 was only made possible due to a blatant dive by Ian Rush in the penalty area in the 89th minute of an FA Cup quarter final replay.
Having said that, Bale is often the victim of unashamed thuggery from the likes of Charlie Adam so perhaps this gives him a license to go down easily.

And he has not took half the stick Eduardo got for that ONE dive from the media. Wonder why?

Read what Rodgers said without your bias. I mean that is poor by your standards.
And Rooney does dive. He also cheats, elbows, punches, stamps and claps at referees. Apart from that he's a lovely chap.

He quite clearly implies Liverpool are going to start cheating unless they start getting decisions. Basically it was a threat.
Everyone else sees it for what it was![]()
... Again, nope.

I don't think we should be raking over 'Pool glories from the 70s and 80s. Let us all simply accept that 'Pool, back in those days of yore, were a real powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with, and whether we like it or not they were the best in Europe.
Let the Mousers have their past, and let us all be respectful of it.
However, what I would say, is that this thread is about the here-and-now, and the desperate struggles that face today's 'Pool, not about the glories of an ever-fading past.
Having said that, I can see no harm in holding up the 'Pool sides of the 70s and 80s by way of comparing them with the shower of 5hite that plays for them these days.
More of your baseless garbage Dan.
Melia lost his place to Ian St John and left, and Rush was fouled and a penalty was awarded end of story, the FA cup wasn't awarded at Vicarage Rd that night was it Dan?
To pinpoint a legit pen awarded to us as the reason we won the double is Desperate Dan.
There were 49 matches played in the double win.![]()
) awarded in the 89th minute of an FA cup win is fair enouigh. If the ref had done his job you would have been knocked out and couldn't have won the FA Cup - ergo you could not have done the double.Being good in your past is better than never being good.

Find some none Liverpool fans who dont think B.Rodgers is implying his team might need to start cheating.
Probably best not to ask fans of Spurs, United, City, Norwich, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, QPR, Southampton or the other 80 odd sides in english football bar Liverpool as you will be disappointed with the outcome.
Its clear as day, if Fergie had done it there would be 19 threads on your board about how deluded senile the old scotch drink is and the majority of your posters would be posting how Fergies asking the refs for favours and telling his players to dive/cheat...
Infact its happened before, Fergie has said United get **** all from the FA and guess what..............
I imagine they would be, but that's a moot point.
He was deploring the decisions against us. He said no-one wanted to see diving, but that it seemed like it was the only way to get decisions - due to the refereeing he was deploring.
That doesn't imply that he's told our players to dive. If anything, he's complaining over the state of the game when the only way to get points you rightfully deserve is to cheat or exagerrate.
