Where did you meet? Merchant is quite good too... his stand up is nothing compared to Gervais though.
Happened to be in the same bar ten years ago. He was being an arrogant, mouthy cock - and this was before the second series of The Office aired. He didn't have a comeback when I told him to **** off when he started being an arse to me for no reason, that's for sure... Clarice Starling it is.

Old GBH was right about Stoke, though. I don't see why he should apologise for saying what we all already know to be true. Did Whinger apologise for referring to Stoke as a rugby side?
I agree, I meant about Everton. He was probably thinking about the kicking he would get in Stoke without his mates to help him.
He was sat between the bar (where I was) and the toilets (where I was heading) and made a remarkably chavvy crack because I have long hair, then when I turned to give him a withering look he started with the "Don't you know who I am" schtick - so I told him I did, and I was still telling him to **** off. He didn't have a comeback because Steven Merchant wasn't there to write one for him...
After Swansea treated the Mousers to a football master-class on their own turf, it must be clear for all to see that Swansea will not be taking Roy Rodgers back, when he is eventually sacked by 'Pool's numpty Yank owner. Rodgers leaving Swansea has made them a better side, and his joining 'Pool has made them a worse side. I wasn't the only one who predicted that that would be what would happen, but I remain hopeful that at least the more astute among the Mousers will now, finally, accept it as a fact. Well done, Swansea.
