Good to see the BBC resorting to whataboutery...

It could be worse for Liverpool - they could be Monaco. Thierry Henry's boys are 3-0 down at home to Club Brugge, with Wesley Moraes netting.

To be fair, it did get worse. Monaco lost 4-0 and then went out completely, due to a later result. Good job, Thierry! <ok>

This thread is about the Liverpool the club, not Liverpool the city.
    Ian Rush = :emoticon-0148-yes: Tony Bellew = :emoticon-0149-no:
Well, Tony Bellew actually = :emoticon-0146-punch , but you get what I mean.

    Sir Kenny Dalglish.

Putting aside the nonsense of the honours system for a minute, it's well deserved.

Shame he played for Liverpool - but there you go.

Is it though? Not sure you should get one for doing your job, unless your job is one that involves self sacrifice and service. If you have to have them at all, they should be for contributing over and above your job.

He's been prominent in raising money for the Hillsborough charities.
He was a top player and manager too.
I'm not here to defend Liverpool players or the honours system but....

Ok, the Hillsborough charities I'll give you. Top manager and player is not a sacrifice or a service.

  20. He was also the tit who got the entire 'Pool team wearing those pathetic tee shirts in support of Goofy The Cannibal.

He should have been put in prison for that.
