It wasn't a great game to watch, and Pool were lucky to win. Swansea played well enough to not deserve what happened.
Havnt been on this thread for ages. Good to see you are as knowledgable as ever. We have never lost to Brentford in the fa cup
Was that the league cup, then? I know that you did have a very embarrssing defeat (under "King" Kenny, wasn't it?) to someone like Brentford. It could have been Enfield or Crawley, for all I know. I do confess, however, that I am not an expert on 'Pool FC. I'm just interested in the funny bits.
HIAG,I think you're confusing Brentford with Burnley (2006), Barnsley (2008), Northampton (2010) or Oldham (2013) Very confusing, I agree
There was some crappy little non-league side that slaughtered 'Pool at Klanfield, a short while back, I'm sure of it.
"I do confess, however, that I am not an expert on 'Pool FC. I'm just interested in the funny bits." Impressive that for how little you observe them (no doubt due to your efforts in trying to keep not606 a WUM-free zone) , you have have been able to discern so much about the club and its supporters.
I consider myself more an expert on Mousers than the club, itself. I watched all the important documentaries, such as Bread, and learned a lot about the Mouser mentality.
I'd like the following possibilities, in order of preference: Massive fight. Game abandoned, both teams sent off, points deducted. Draw. Preferably one with some entertainment, as I watched some of the West Ham game yesterday and I nearly died from boredom. Big Liverpool win. You've got Arsenal up next.
Top cosmic WUMmery, higher powers out there. You let the Mousers : 1. believe they are right back up there last season 2. have Brenton spouting off how his transfer stuff last summer was not "like Spurs" 3. be the main offender in the asset-stripping of Southampton yet they : - have already done WORSE than Spurs on #2 for points (finishing at BEST 9 pts behind their previous season total - in contrast to Spurs 3 pts) , with table placing TBD. - could end up finishing the season BEHIND Soton. Cosmic, man. Truly cosmic.
Rodgers was dealt the ace of trumps with Suarez. Without him, he's proving to be a very ordinary manager - just like he was before Suarez's heroics last season.
And Gary Monk is set to take Swansea to their record PL points total, and that after selling their best player, which is way past anything Rodgers achieved for the Swans.
Last season Liverpool scored 101 goals in the PL. This season they need to score 56 in their last 7 games to match that. And the difference is?
