Henry, the french we're more pissed off than anyone when he did that, though the population there do not like too many black players on the national team it seems so not sure if they just hated Henry for the handball or not
 
Well after first seeing it on TV something didn't look right the way the ball came off the keeper and then landed at Suarez's feet, I think he meant it but thought the ref would blow when casually smashing it in the net, when his hand move towards the ball he meant to, it was instinctive and I bet it will happen again with Suarez.

Liverpool fans sticking up for him are the worst though because if it happened to them we would still be hearing about it for 20 years, they try to shift to argument to other teams by saying Scholes did it, Henry did it blah blah blah etc and boy don't Liverpool fans like to you to remind you of it, though it doesn't make Suarez goal correct, and before Liverpool fans come on here bleating it was an accident...... these accidents always seem to happen when Suarez is around.

Unlucky Mansfield you were the better team and should of got at least a draw, the non league is in good health which is more then you can say about other things.
 
After rewatching the Uncle Percy equaliser.I thought why didn't that Hammers defender tackle Percy and then why did the Hammers keeper dive over the ball from Percy's shot.
You know,if I didn't know better,the equaliser looked "fixed"!

If it was, they were pretty reliant on Van Persie's control, that was exceptional. Good job they didn't give the role to Wellbeck! Also had Giggs play his best pass in about 5 years. I'm thinking it was legit.
 
The whole media is in total opposition to the general fan concencus over this. Apparently Suarez is not a cheat because you should play to the whistle, which ignores the fact that he deliberately handled it in the first place which is what everyone's pissed off about. What else can we expect though when the media is full of ex-Mousers. Given that the new generation coming through won't be full of Liverpool fans, there will be no interest in having Phil Babb and Stan Collymore replace Hansen and Lawro on MOTD. Still another 10/20 years of this nonsense to put up with though, I suspect.
 
It really goes against the grain for me to defend Liverpool FC but i think this is a huge over reaction and the comments from Mansfield that they were robbed of a replay are farcical. There is no guarantee whatsoever that if Suarez hadn't scored they would have - the match would have unfolde differently and anything could have happened. Yes the referee was wrong as it is clear the ball was handled but I suspect if it had been Sturridge who had done it the reaction would have been a bit different. I think Suarez is being judged on his past rather than his actual actions yesterday.
 
Not going to enter the bigger ethical debate, but some interesting stats in the Times this morning:

This season only 11 players have been booked in the PL for delibate handball. That list includes one Luis Suarez
Last season 14 were booked - also included in this list was one Luis Suarez

Looking a bit deeper...
This season only 2 players have been booked for trying to score by use of the arm. Guess who is one of these? Yep, Mr Suarez against The Spammers (the other being Adam Le Fondre)
Last season - yes, you know where this is going - Suarez was booked for the same offence against Wigan.

Now stats can sometimes be misleading but this is frankly more than coincidence.
 
Dirty cheat. He even tried to disguise it with a nod of his head. Distasteful.


But, in the interest of debate, remember Defoe's "I think it did touch my arm, but they all count" goal against Young Boys in the CL? How did we all react to that on 25/08/2010?

It didn't change the game though. We won 4-0.

It's a blatant and deliberate handball, I'd be saying the same if it was Sturridge or a Spurs player and I'd be criticising them too. As I said yesterday the actual act of cheating for me wasn't much different to Ramsey appealing for a penalty when he knew the defender made no contact with him. What makes me more annoyed is that he's a professional cheat and did it in a game against a Conference team when they were winning. If a Spurs player did that against Coventry I'd be angry he brought shame on our club. Anyway, what's wrong with also taking into account Suarez's history of cheating? He's a cheat through and through and the way he can't even help himself from cheating against such a lowly side shows a complete lack of class and just how much of a **** he is.

I don't think he robbed Mansfield of a replay, as you say we have no idea how it would've turned out, but what did happen is Suarez unfairly tilted the tables in Liverpool's favour and made things much more difficult for Mansfield. The fact that Mansfield pulled one back and gave Liverpool some late scares is to their credit.

No idea why some people are claiming it was accidental, either.
What's his arm doing up there in the first place? Nobody runs like that.

I don't think that it's down to him to own up, but it is down to him to not do it in the first place.
Couple of decent penalty claims turned down for Mansfield, too.

Defoe's wasn't deliberate. I don't expect players to own up when the ball hits their arm but I don't expect them to deliberately handball either. If they did handball it deliberately in a moment of madness I'd want and expect them to own up, at very least they should apologise when they realise what a cheat they were.

The officials seen it Yid, why is owning up needed, he didnt intentionally handle it.

Ever not owned up to something? Yes of course. Don't try and pretend that anyone that's ever lied has no leg to stand on, it's got nothing to do with logicmuch. What I have been saying the whole time is that this is all about the deliberate handball, Suarez's previous and the lack of class he showed. I've always said it's not Suarez's responsibility to own up to it but if he had owned up he would have gone a long way to changing people's view that he's a professional cheat. As much as you and other Liverpool fans want to twist it and act as if Rodgers would have been fuming at Suarez showing a great example of fairplay, it's not true you'd all be lauding him for it. Even if he apologised, although it would be too little too late, it would at least show he accepts responsibility for his behaviour and accepts that it wasn't right.

I can't give Suarez the benefit of the doubt after what he done to Ghana in the world cup

IMO The guy will clearly do whatever it takes to gain an advantage and if that means using his hand then how can anyone defend him?
 
Makes you wonder what Sewerrez will do when he hangs up his boots and goes home.He'd make a good hitman,me thinks......
