Do you really still have the 2nd biggest support base in the world? Not saying its not true, just that it suprises me. The issue you may have is that short term you don't look appealing to manage (in my opinion), any job where the expectation of success far exceeds the realistic achievement of success is not a good prospect (Newcastle were very much like this following Keegan and then Sir Bobby, where alot of our fans expected every manager to have us competing for the title whilst playing attacking and exciting football).

Liverpool, like Chelsea, need to pick a manager to back and then just stick with them for at least 3 full seasons. You aren't going to get relegated (or even bottom half really) so what have you got to lose?

g&H picked hodgson and we were nearly in the relegation zone... it can happen and for this reason ALONE nobody should be calling for a manager like daglish to go. we should indeed back the guy, especially after righting only 50% of the wrongs so far and yet getting a cup.

Cos we are a big club, who if we had success, could become the best supported in the world, we already have a bigger worldwide fanbase than Real Madrid and Barcelona, due to our massive support in Asia where half the people in the world live, if we started winiing Leagues we could usurp Yernited

Would Man U really be a major attraction to him, he would be more likely to be successful there, but he would infinity more popular at Liverpool if he got success than if he got success at United. He would be lorded as a God if he got success at LFC,and that is the sort of thing that would attract him,at United he would always be inferior to Fergie.Does he really need to join Citeh and get a huge transfer spend and win there, hes done that already, theres no new challenge for him just one hes already done

I think if the right person spoke to him,and sold him the club in the right way, I think he would love to be Liverpool manager, is ego wouldnt be able to resist it, and I think he would wanna do it long term too

Delusions of grandeur.

Firstly, too much hatred between Mourinho and Liverpool going back to the days of Benitez. I doubt he has forgotten that Liverpool twice cheated him out of 2 CL finals during his Chelsea days. It's a blemish on his career CV, Chelsea are the only club he has failed in Europe with, and Liverpool are to blame for that.

Secondly, you lost fans because of the Suarez/Dalglish fiasco. You have to get rid of them and give a serious apology before you can start dreaming of enlarging your world wide fanbase.

Your so full of **** cowboy.

No chance ! He will be back at Chelsea or go to Man City.

You need to do what we are doing and build a young team of players and get a manager in that doesn't need wads of cash.

Global fanbase numbers are estimated,so wouldn't know Eric.

But anyone who doubt's that LFC do have a global fanbase would be mistaken.

I don't doubt that Liverpool have a large global fanbase.

I was just suprised that Liverpool have a larger global fan base than Barca or Madrid (if that is true ).

I agreewith this. We need a manager who wants a project, we need to then buy in to that project and watch the team grow. Liverpool fans have never seen Dalglish as an option after his initial 3 year term so we have never really brought in to his long term vision. I think our next manager should be under the age of 50

Tbh its probably not as large as it was before Utd under Fergie and Barca coming good, but its still there.

Three words:

Financial

Fair

Play

Mourinho can't spot cheaper players and his record without big spending is terrible.

He has no record of producing young players or that he even cares about academies.

He plays **** football - Inter fans preferred Rafa's attacking M.O. in the short time he was there.

Mourinho is the Star. It's his houses and his players. It's all about Mourinho.

**** Mourinho. Rafa kicked his smug arse on more than one occasion.

Le Arse and Chavski probably have much bigger global fanbases.

LFC don't even come close to Real, Barca, United or AC Milan.

Stranger things have happened but really can't see it.

Jose is a great manager but goes where he knows he can get instant success. You have a pretty average squad really; the likes of Gerrard and Carragher are getting on plus poor signings (for the money spent at least) it would take too much time and money for you be challengers. Notwithstanding the fact you wont be in the C.L next year.

He'll end up in Manchester in the next 2 years.

I agree with you but can you imagine the ego trip Mourinho would get out of making Liverpool great again?

its not true, real madrid and man utd have the biggest global fan base. thats proven by the forbes listing. There is no doubt to me we are up there but we cannot claim being close to them.

Now.. mourinho.

Mr mourinho is a smart man, he is also an opportunist and obsessed with reputation.

In many ways he lucked into the port CL win. Utd last minute away goal and suddenly the whole thing opened up in front of him. MONACO in the final. I'm not rewrting history there. He took the chelsea job knowing ranieiri had them in second and ready to go, he spent a shedload to compelte the task.

He also fell out with his owner and has some awful players, he then walked into inter where they were already top dogs in italy under mancini. He let the grass grow in the san siro and got a 3-1 v barca to win the CL again. Once barca were out the way was clear for a top side to go do what was expected.

He wfalls out with moratti and walks into real wehre a shedload was already spent and proceeds to kick barca off the park and fial to do anyhting unitl barca's relatively small squad impodes on them at the back bit. He'll win a la liga finally this year jsut when real were sick of him and has beasically a clear run to the final where they'll meet barca again.... queue pepe kicking messi all over the park.

He will fall out with real and walk into manchester and his ego will run riot, queue big spending, happy fans and the debt flying high again... in short mourinho is never going to join a side where he has less than a 90% chance of success and big money to get that final 10%

Personally i would have Rafa back.

He would finish the job he started, is a shrewd tactian, has a deep rooted passion for the club, and understands the demands of running LFC.

People mocked him and were all too ready to put him down, but prior to the debacle that was Hicks & Gillett the club was going forward. He knew how to win in the Champions League and masterminded our best league finish in years. He was let down badly by the yank's who's lies ultimately led to his downfall.

Based on what? outside of Ireland, Wales and Liverpool who supports LFC?.

Success 30 years ago before football even turned global isn't enough to compare yourselves with the big boys. You underestimate how many people support Arsenal and Chelsea worldwide. Arsenal (and chelsea I think) are huge in Africa.

According to some German company liverpool ranked 7th in October.

Ivor,we had fans globally 30 years ago and we have fans globally now,the numbers are bound to fluctuate.
