You think Uefa are gonna enforce FFP, so there gonna tell the likes of City,Chelsea, PSG your banned from the CL, not a chance and you know it.FFP is a pipe dream that will NEVER be enforced
Ive been to a few parts of Asia and they are interested in 2 clubs, and 2 clubs only.United and Liverpool,as for Africa is that the continent which holds about 1/8 of the worlds people.Asia holds more than half.Liverpool along with United,Barce,Real are the 4 clubs who sell the most shirts in the world
Ivor..... come on.... you lot insult us with taunts about norway etc etc then you tell us we are only in ireland and wales... hilarious. read what i said dumbass... you quoted it "its not true, real madrid and man utd have the biggest global fan base. thats proven by the forbes listing. There is no doubt to me we are up there but we cannot claim being close to them." you come back and tell me that some german company says we are 7th... in case you didn't know 7th in the world could count as up there but not close to the top 2... god what a melon....
The Liverpool v United game has a global TV audience 3 times that of the SUPERBOWL, people in Asia dont give a f about the superbowl, they are f**kin obsessed however with LFC an MUFC
Yes he would but I don't think in the short term i.e 1-3 years (pretty much Mourinho's standard time at a club), it is realistically possible to get Liverpool back amongst it without spending a shed load of cash City/Chelsea style. Can't see that happening so unless you were really fortunate with signings (a grander scale of Newcastle for instance), the gap remains too big for a Jose to be interested. Could do a lot worse than get Rafa back in my view. Had a bad last 12-18 months but had the interests of the club at heart and a good manager overall. Realistically who else is out there you could get other than taking a punt on a younger manager like say Rogers.
You could be right but I really can't see why some glory hunting asian kids would follow Liverpool. Do they really know about Liverpool's history or care for that matter? Great club but surely the United, Barcas, Madrids of the world are going to have bigger followings given the players they have and recent successes??
I would love Rafa back. He understands the club, it's fans, its culture. He is also a dab hand in the transfer market (Yes, he had flops but most of them were sold on for a profit and lets be honest... all managers sign the odd donkey, especially when your club is playing at the highest level.) He also knows what it takes to play champions league football consistently. When you look at the squad he had in 2005, it's not only amazing to think that he won the CL but that he actually managed to achieve 5th place! - only 3 points off 4th It was his first season in charge and he had a squad consisting the likes of Diouf, Diao, Biscan, Traore & Baros!!! He will need a number two with people skills though. If we were to ever get Rafa back (i doubt FSG would ever go for it, they know his previous history with owners) then I Steve Clarke would have to be the voice of reason to keep his assistants job. If Rafa could accept working with Commolli (DC works in a role where he recommends signings) then I can't see it being a bad shout
Go and check out the facts. Just go to Hong Kong - that's almost split equally with Utd and LFC shirts, the Spanish clubs come a long way behind.
