I thought at the time he was casting an eye over Chalobah, who did himself no harm at all incidentally!
It was over for Watford when he and Vydra went off. I still think Chalobah will go on another season long loan.

He warrants game time, and there's no certainty he'll get it with Lampard, Ramires and Mikel in there, and maybe Luiz as well.
Be interesting to see how he sets the team up...I've got a sneaky he'll get Romelu back in the fold, and will **** Torres off.

And Ake, and Essien and Romeu!!
Chalobah looks a talent but like many of our youth products, think they maybe need another season at a higher level. Would like Chalobah and Josh perhaps to go to midtable premier league clubs next year to cut their teeth further. As I see it, Lampard and Essien are both out of contract in a years time and these 2 could maybe be the ready made replacements with a bit more expereince.

I've just been reading about some of the issues that have been dogging the contractural negotiations and they focus on Michael Emanelo, Romans spy in the camup and the one who has to endorse player movements! Jose as we know likes to have a big steer on signings and there has to be a set rules of engagement if he's going to sign on the dotted line!

Agreed. Maybe a midtable club like Liverpool could help develop him for us.![]()
You should read who it's written by as opposed to the paper it's written in.
The Sun is toilet paper but Rob Beasley - the journalist who wrote it - has very close connections to Chelsea (he's a fan) and speaks to Mourinho occasionally. He's one of few English journo's Jose trusts. Therefore I'm inclined to believe him. I did say a while back that I did not believe Jose was in England primarily to watch the playoff final and it was more a mirage for the contract signing. You don't travel thousands of miles and bring your right hand man to watch a Championship playoff final (that's not not to discredit the Championship btw).
They probably wanted everything signed so that come Sunday/Monday it can be announced before players go on their holidays/Confederations cup etc. The players obviously know and have done for at least a month but it's a lot easier when everything is made official.
What I said was tongue in cheek hence the 'lol' , I don't read any newspapers, so not a clue who the journalists are. I'm like a kid at Christmas atm, 99% sure I'll get my present but just need the confirmation on the day to actually believe it.

Just re-read my post. Didn't mean to come across as aggressive if I did![]()
DAVID LUIZ moved a step closer to the Chelsea exit door last night.
The Brazilian star repeatedly refused to speak about his Stamford Bridge future and whether he will be at the club next season.
Versatile Luiz, set to face England tonight, is a £35million target for Barcelona and Napoli.
He said: “I really don’t want to talk about my future. At the moment I am only thinking about the national team.”
And he bristled when asked if he was looking forward to working with new Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho, adding: “I don’t want to answer that question.”
After tonight’s game, Luiz has another friendly against France before the Confederations Cup

Luiz really is leaving, isn't he?
