Was very good today without doubt, but not as good as he was when we beat Portsmouth 2-0 back in 2008 and he scored both goals, sitting just behind Kenwyne. Thats still his pinacle in a red and white shirt.
Every one of them were fantastic today, hoping this is our year to go all the way.

Surely his pinacle was his goal against the skunks?

Just to be an awkward tw*t I'll vote for the fans. Best atmosphere for ages.

You could make a case for every player today so easier giving it collectively to every bloody one of them.

Difficult one this, Ricco was great today, kept Chamberlin quiet and marked RVP a few times when he had to. Goal was well taken and he worked ever so hard all game. I thought Catts, Gardner and Colback ran the middle of the park, I don't know how you can drop any of them. The main man was Sess again though MOTM for me, he just causes so many problems for defenders, holds the ball up well, runs with it passes and even jumps well for header. He worked ever so hard closing down and chasing lost causes. We MUST give him a new contract and keep him in the summer.

That was a team performance but if forced to pick a MOTM then it would have to be this fella who was signed by Roy Keane.

All of the players were excellent today but if forced to choose a MOTM it would have to be Richardson for me. Roy Keane's first major signing and still with SAFC. Deservedly becoming recognised as a tremendous servant of the club.

My pick was Richardson. Closely followed by Sess & Catts.

Whole defence was outstanding as were the 3 CMs, and the wingers!!

Very, very pleasing!

Tees if Bruce was still here we would have been packed on the edge of our box, inviting Arsenal to play their game, with inevitable results.
MON's game plan was spot on, get into them in MF and protect the back four, win the ball and break with pace.

Looked at the team today MR and though "why are we not playing another striker, why are we not attacking them". I then remembered I am a total pleb and MON is a tactical genius and he had forgot more about football tactics from when he had his breakfast this morning than I will ever comprehend in my life. I felt better after this, forgot I was in fact a Sunderland supporter and just sat back to watch the demolition of Arsenal. Happy, happy days

Ricco for me, but I would also give a mention to Seb for some outstanding crosses. Turner looked good for him but he seems to have lost the knack of the attacking header in the oppo's box - if he could bring that back in to his game then we might look like scoring from Seb's corners more than we do at the moment

All of them! I've watched Arsenal twice now in the lase 8 days and senn RVP and Chamberlain look ordinary. These are 2 of their best players and our defence made them look ordinary. Both Rocco and Bardsley against Chamberlain and Turner against Van Persie. Ricco, Cattermole, McClean all fantastic.
