Good win yesterday away at Sheff Wed but looks like being just outside the playoffs with half a season left isn't good enough. Have they appointed a manager down west yet? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42468443
Carvalhal gone as well now - I expected that more than the Monk dismissal. Looks like all change over the Christmas break.
Thought they all hated Monk for destroying 'The Swansea Way' (boom and bust crab football). They say never go back....
That's a bit harsh on Monk IMO. Carvalhal done brilliant for Wednesday over the last 2 years but been on free fall of late. Championship is not for the faint hearted.
Pupils in the championship. Know he's never been relegated. Has he ever been promoted? I thought Pulis might have been the swans saviour. Not sure with the current squad who is suited.
Is Warnock next?? After 2 woeful defeats to teams they should have comfortable seen off and out of the top 2, is Warnock next to go in the Championahip sack race........
Just a blip. ........I seem to remember last season Johnson lost 8 games on the trot. Never mind - back in the top two Friday and then watch you lot on the box on Saturday. Do you think we'll still be there after that?
He did, however we have a realistic and patient chairman, is the Tan man of the same ilk? Plus there was no expectation of City this season, many, including you had us as bottom 6 material this season, whereas you all backed yourselves to go up - and let everyone know it..... A loss against Preston and the Tan man might start thinking the wheels have come off the Warmock band wagon.
The thing about Bristol which appeals is their attacking intent. They would never have gone to Bolton with a defensive approach hoping to wear out a bottom 3 club and win it late on. Yes they’ve had their strokes of luck (against us, at Brentford, Hull & Sheff U spring to mind) but they’ve only lost 3 all season. They have no outstanding players but plenty of good quick attacking players. I can easily see them beating Wolves but anticipate they’ll have a blip somewhere along the line like we’re having now.
I think most City fans expected a possible blip ourselves over the last 2 gamas we have played a lot of games in December with an injury ravaged squad, which appears to have grown again after the Reading game. As you say though, we are playing some delicious attacking football and opening teams up with some great reverse passing and progressive running. We are definitely a team that is greater together than the sum of its parts, much like yourselves really as you also don't have any big name stars either but doing well.
I thought this was a chat forum? Posting when you win is easy, but chatting with opposition posters after you've lost takes more character. I take it you won yesterday.
