You can NEVER have too may top scorers in a squad.
To kick us on we need someone to replace Fryatt's top scoring goals. Even if that person sat on the bench and was never needed, you'd want the option. It may keep JS working hard.
Anyone who says we don't need another prove striker is a fool. Goals get you promoted, and having options is good. The Fryatt injury news may well have tipped the balance on this decision.
(as for bringing on NP - if he hadn't scored after the first half bonanza, he would have been ridiculed. As it was, we scored none in the second half. If NP had come on he would have taken the blame for that stat - so maybe keeping him sat down was the right thing to do. I think he would have made it on if we had carried the momentum on and got some more early 2nd half goals. Good decision, IMO, to leave him sat down when it was clear the match had changed).
