Can't wait for Punchestown to start tomorrow, some unbelievable races coming up.

I never bet trebles but I've done one tomorrow.

Was really torn between Boston Bob and Back in Focus but if Back in Focus is good enough for the Ruby one, he's bleeding well good enough for me. Boston's jumping would worry me slightly as well. Lump on lads!
 
I knew King Olav was going to do that at some point soon. I just wish he would have done it more in the two previous runs when I had backed him. Good ride by Kirsty Milk.
 
Powderonthebonnet 2nd - getting a bit pissed off now with bad rides in bumper races. That's two horses that should have won in the last week. This one and Oscar Tanner who admittedly had a very inexperienced jockey on board. 5/1 and 14/1 though. Really frustrating.

Having looked at the racing again I am definitely backing SEA SHANTY (6.00 Windsor 9/2).He has some really nice bits of form from three starts as a 2yo. Chasing home Moohaajim on debut before disappointing at Newbury next time out when sent off 2/1 fav. Although only 3rd on his final start as a juvenile at Even money fav he was behind what looks a very useful prospect in Fort Knox who was an impressive winner of the 2000 guineas trial at Leopardstown earlier this month. The second home at Newbury that day Beautiful View went on to win a Newmarket maiden by 3 1/4 lengths next time out suggesting the form is very solid. Sea Shanty runs tonight off what looks a lenient mark imo (73) and I am hopeful he can get the better of current fav Zamoyski.

Bob, you probably do not know this but Oscar Tanners saddle slipped after about one furlong. The boy did very well to get him the whole way round and get a place. He was literally just using the stirrops to balance and clinging on for dear life for the best part of two miles so rather than it be a bad ride it was more in the realms of "ride of the week".

Like Gladiatrix in the next at Windsor tonight!

Certify will not be allowed to run in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas in May. "This is a dark day for Godolphin," said racing manager Simon Crisford

Godolphin trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni said: "I deeply regret what has happened. I have made a catastrophic error."
 
I didn't know Stick. I just put it down to an inexperienced lad not knowing how to use the old encourager because it didn't get used at all in that race. The horse is in my tracker as a sure fire winner NTO.

He was always in control that day and I definitely don't think winning off a mark of 78 tonight is beyond his capabilities. He was conceding 20lbs to Ambleside that day who was receiving the 3yo allowance. Ambleside won off a mark of 70 at Beverly next time out beating an improving sort that had won a handicap by 22 lengths off a mark of 75 on his previous start (very weak race admittedly).
