In this case, Billy was way over the mark and could have been banned as soon as his comments came to the attention of a mod. But mods don't live on here and some posters will always argue about stifling debate when a ban goes in, even if justified.

Posters never see half of what goes on behind the scenes...

I think you'll find an apology would have been to suffice which he refused to apologise to one poster and that got him the ban. Not the half dozen comments of evil. Of course, most are in the dark about this after the tidy up job. Self preservation I think it's called.

Its not a race card...its a real issue...it exists and your petty shouty pointy post does not change that. I come on this board to read whatever is on it. There is the odd decent Mackem. Ra ra ra...keep your bigoted mouth shut and no one will sock it one. My family have fought for this country too. They feel embarrassed by the racism that exists in it. They think the army employ too many knuckleheads. We had a right giggle when I said I know most of them. They post on the Not606 Mackem board.
