This has to be done. And maybe not for the best.

I like the laid back approach, but even i accept it needs new peraonell. (Even if it does mean me leaving).

Marcus has to stay. Thats the only cert. Hes the only one on often enough. Nearly.


Even my two old muckas gonads and sid. Both of who know what i think of them. Will not deny that its time for a change. Us old carthorses need a rest.

Indi and defivr are a complete waste of time.

So imo there is at least two need changing.

I wasnt sure because of the ot before. But i,ll nominate Blunham as one.
 
Right, I'm willing to do it. But I'd want to be more of a board administrator than a mod. I'm on a lot so would be on hand to pin and close and delete topics at the request of posters.

I DON'T READ ENOUGH OF THE OFF TOPIC THREADS TO PLAY THE PEACEMAKER. So if we want somebody for that I'd be the wrong man.

Dont get upset at this Bri. You.d br the wrong choice. Football wise ideal. But most things happen on the ot threads. The most popular threads.

Why would I get upset? Don't even want to do it but something needs doing as you say and there aren't a lot of volunteers. There's clearly two problems with the mods on this board, the lack of mediation and the lack of admin. I'm volunteering to see to the admin part. Simples

It's there on the table.
 
I come on when I come on. Never pretended otherwise and I'm not apologising for it, as I never even asked to be a mod. I came back from holiday one year and found I'd been made one! Happy to continue, but equally happy to step aside for someone who spends more time on here than me, which I entirely accept is a good reason for a change. Let's see what the board as a whole has to say about it...

I'd be happy to leave well alone.. O.k., today Tees asked for a thread to be removed, and it wasn't done too quickly. But there's football being played, so maybe mods were just watching t.v. or suchlike. It's not a full-time form of employment, so these things happen.

If one's to be replaced, I'd second Blunham (if he'd want the job)

It's not a full time Job I agree with blunham but would also like to see bri getting stuck in

Sorry mate. It is a bit of a problem.

Ifirst became a mod on here ((the first time) because of the time difference. All the late night ****e (usually mine and maybe rog etc) was easy.

At that time. There was only three. My old mucka Gonads. The legend Cyprussid and myself.

Now there are five.

Too many mods is a bad thing, it makes it easy for them to sit back and do **** all and it's easier for communication breakdown to occur. In my opinion you want two or three tops.

They need to be on a lot and ideally they can handle different times throughout the day but there will always be instances where something can't be actioned straight away. You're better off thinking before you post something you don't want to if you're going to get pissed off that the mods are likely with their families or something at the weekend.

Good luck to anyone who takes it on, it's not really much work at all but when it is it's a bit of a ballache.

Blunham, Bri and Marcus might make a very decent team. Level headed, cover different hours, generally not the most controversial posters.

All depends though. The mods we have might want to stay mods and that's entirely up to them

Its a ball ache at times. But a piece od piss.

You are correct though. Get three. Only three. The correct three and you are sorted.
