About a month ago my phone signal at home almost disappeared. I had no problem for the past 5 years.
So, I've transferred from Tesco (O2) to Three.
Still poor reception where I cannot be heard most of the time, but if I walk up the hill behind my house the signal returns.
Any one had similar problems? I'd appreciate some advice of a provider who can sort it because Tesco and 3 say there is good coverage in my area - there isn't. (I live between Market Weighton and Pocklington).

I’m also EE and never had a problem.

They were doing some work on the masts last year (I think at Hull Uni?) so some of my colleagues couldn’t get signal whilst at work and they were given up to 6 months free on their contracts too. One of them managed 6 months free and 6 months at 50% off. The things you get when you complain, eh?

No whenever I’m hanging round behind your house I’m perfectly able to stream the videos I’m taking...

To be honest each provider seems different in different areas. I’m on EE in Anlaby and it’s fine, but Mrs Tash was on Vodafone here and it was as reliable as a statement from Ehab! She changed to O2 and it’s fine.
Just need to get what works best where you use it most

Have you looked at the map they do for mobile phone signals or don't they do it for places
out in the sticks ?
 
If you (reluctantly) go with Vodafone you can get a booster which works through your wifi and cures any signal problems at home.
 
Thanks guys for all the info/advice so far. What an absolute shambles (bit like HC management atm!)
Spent lots of today (4 hours!) messing around with 3 and Tesco and O2 and no further on but I guess I'll get sorted with a phone signal sometime and if not I'll take up residence in Filey/Hornsea or Spurn where I've always wanted to be and no need for a phone connection anyway!
 
EE spent money in the Hull area on 5G recently. Should also benefit BT and maybe Virgin who use their mast sites.
Voda and O2 supposedly share network around the UK, but I don't know whether that makes the service similar. Lots of other factors I expect.
 
EE is **** on NHE. internet is virtually impossible unless upstairs. According to the workers in their shop in town it's because they knocked down the tower blocks on OPE where their antenna was mounted.

Invest in a CAT. It'll keep the rats & mice, who are chewing up your wireless connections, at bay.
