I've stated facts, not an opinion.

The Hull FC end of season awards were held on Nov 24th at the stadium, so it looks like the answer to your question is yes.[/QUOTE}

.

You have stated your version of the facts and I have posted mine.
The FC fund raisers and dinners were held at everywhere but the Stadium up to the last one. Perhaps Pearson was on his way by then.

I owned it.
Sorry to disappoint you.
And he wasn't only whinging about the lease.

Edit - this reply was meant to Askewshair, not Trumpton.. and I should state that I don't 'know' this, I was told it by Paul Duffen, so it's coming from his point of view.

His complaints were that investment wasn't made as promised/agreed by the previous owners of the SMC and that the SMC was turned into having an annual profit under his control, which would result in maintenance being covered and rents being reduced, to millions in debt, whilst being owned by the previous owner's umbrella company.

Some of this was inevitable as the stadium aged, but there was also debt put onto the SMC and investment withheld due to the much discussed issues regarding bad relations with the council. He was there when the deal was signed (Hull FC declined to pay a paltry sum to be an equal partner in the SMC), but after twenty years, it's turned out differently to how it was initially thought to, so as every business owner of a business losing money, he was looking to save it somewhere.

There's different sides to the story and probably no clear right or wrong.
