I can’t see it under Ashley. If it’s Gayle out, Rondon in, Mitro out, Muto in that will be it for us. We will hold back in case of relegation, or the threat thereof - it’s how Mike works.

You’re forgetting we don’t ask for all sale monies immediately and, therefore, there will only be about £5M available.

At the very, very best we might loan Ings or Welbeck. We will absolutely not buy anyone. Any fan expecting NUFC to spend £20m on a striker - like over half the league have done recently - is out of their mind. Here’s the thing - if someone had bought Mitrovic from Fulham, regardless of instalments, they would spend the same on a player. Here’s the real rub for me - if Fulham can buy Mitro in instalments, why the **** cant Newcastle also buy a ****ing striker on instalments? One rule for us, different rule for everyone else.
