overseas - i'm with you there, until the player in question is wandering around his new club's stadium wearing a new shirt and being pawed by a gurning chairman and manager, it's all just rumours. still, it's exciting if you're the buyer, hell if someone's after your players. consider this though, if the rumours are true, carroll will be moving for £10m less than zidane, £10m more than david villa. bent was worth half what we got, but this would prove the world has gone mental.

it is mental money indeed it's a pity it happened with only hours to go as it leaves us ****ered for a replacement.
personally don't think pardew will get the full amount to spend either.

So this is where everyone is! Anyway...Carroll, Xisco, Routledge out...total £35m. Ireland in...possibly. Hmmm...sounds good in theory in terms of money received but how much of that money will go back in transfers in? Not much I would have thought. I wonder how much say Pardew had in any of the negotiations...if he had any say at all that is.
 
To think that on Saturday I was feeling sorry for my scouse mate for having Chelsea taking Torres when there wasn't much time to find a replacement!
 
I hope AC regrets his decision to leave for the rest of his life. Liverpool are in the same position as us - new manager who is looking to put his stamp on the team and looking for midtable stability. He has just shown his true colours as just another mercenary money grabbing selfish ****wit.

i was going to give Ashley credit for holding out but as with Darren Bent it just shows how mercenary Footballers are now, i suppose if someone offered me 3X my salary i would tell my boss where he could stick it!!!!!!!!!<grr>
