Off the back of coyle getting sliced. Just seemed related.

Well it is related as part of a wider point. Just not a personal dig.

A player gets an injury that he wouldn't have if he wore the shin pads I did 20-30 years ago. It's a point worth raising on a football forum.

Lightweight boots, micro shin pads, cutting big holes in the back of your socks. Do these things give any discernible improvement to performance or is it just fashion that may make certain injuries more likely. I'm not the first to raise these points.

I managed to back Millwall to go down last night at 20. Their next games are Cardiff, Luton, Portsmouth, QPR and Plymouth. Like us they'll playing for their lives and can definitely see them getting dragged deeper. Plus they just sold their goalscorer Esse to Palace and replaced him with Connoly.
Looking at yesterday’s game they looked poor and I totally agree, I suppose though until the Transfer window is closed it’s difficult to predict. With their fixtures above they either pick up points or other teams around us do. That’s why we have to keep the pressure on.

Yup.

Looked like two sides decimated by injuries and form yesterday and City did enough to come out on top thankfully . Liking the way we are starting to recruit now after the summer intake and applaud moving on those who are not committed or obviously good enough . Still a lot of football to be played yet and Selles will probably need the rest of the season and more to initially keep City safe and eventually make us a side worthy of Championship football.

Great win today, but I don’t like all this vitriol Millwall fans are throwing at George Honeyman. He was always a very honest player for us, pretty skilful too, and I was really upset when he left. But Millwall fans seem to utterly hate him.
Honeyman has missed a few sitters recently which has got some baying for his blood but he has never been a natural goalscorer and consistantly gives 100% every game, he is good at hassling other players and creating chances which for me evens out his faults in front of goal.
We were as bad as bad gets on Saturday and if we don't start getting results soon we are bang in trouble.

swap out honeyman for Slater....

You can see Slater's confidence is returning, hopefully his scoring boots soon return too.

I can see improvement and confidence growing all over the pitch. Including the supporters, hopefully that will continue tomorrow.

The only thing that doesn't seem to be growing is the pitch :emoticon-0105-wink:
