Never once in my life have I been confident about a trip to millwall. Have we ever won there? They always seem to beat us away, can recall some absolute shockers there.

I think we won there once under Bruce, but apart from that...

    I think we'll win 2 or 3 nil.
We're 9 points from top and 8 points from relegation. CityWorld.

We won there 10 years ago. I started going to City in 1963 and we won there that season. The only other time we have won there apart from the one 10 years ago was in 1968. About time we had another win there.

Gary Rowett could possibly have lost his job had they not got a result at Plymouth.

They won 2-0 but the second goal saw the Millwall player mug the Plymouth defender before the goal was scored. Plymouth had 21 shots to Millwalls 9. Millwall have been poor at home losing 3-0 to Leeds and Swansea.

I think they will try and press us but have a fraction of the quality of Ipswich. I think as a club we have been smarting after the Ipswich defeat and are doing to come out fighting.

I was thinking along the lines of starting Lokilo and Sinik replacing him for the last 30 minutes. I agree Sinik is not ready to start yet, but giving him 20 -30 minutes is probably the way to go, if he opts for this formation.

Lost there 4-0 on Koren's debut and my first live City game, then got coins pelted at us after the game! Imagine if we'd won..

Yes, that was my thinking too. Seems like the best option to be able to play with two wingers on the pitch and give them both the minutes they need.

Honestly, the first game I have bad vibes for. It might be the sudden drop in the table (even though it’s early and still tight) but after been given a lesson, I think confidence will drop. Millwall have Flemming too - a player I’d love at City.

    Millwall 2 Hull City 1

That being said, if Delap starts central, we should have enough going forward to come away with something.

IF we play with 2 proper wingers, plus a No. 10 like Traore (as Tuesday), they have to track back otherwise Millwall will have the freedom of the park when they break forward. It was part of our undoing on Tuesday. Can't see it myself.

I hope Traore doesn't start, thought he was poor on Tuesday, not sure he has the legs to back up.

What formation do you think he will play if we play with two wingers,

We won there 1-0 in August 86. I was there and think it was Ray Daniels debut, I remember thinking it looked odd with a black guy wearing Hull City kit! Garry Parker made a terrific pass for Bunn to score.

I was also at 2-2 a few seasons earlier when Tony Norman went off injured to be replaced by Andy Flounders. I’m fairly sure Swann scored twice, how did that happen!

Cheers. Never noticed that one. Been there for a couple of bad defeats and a draw. The draw was an interesting day out especially the gauntlet 4 of us ran on the way back to the tube station.<laugh>
Would love to have the equivalents of Daniels, Parker and Bunn in the side nowadays.

Yes, they will have to track back but playing two out wide would give us more opportunities to play out more effectively. I’d play Delap down the middle and give Connolly a rest with a view to coming on for the last 30. I think I’d also give Twine a start in the 10 role instead of Traore, as he’s looked poor recently and whilst we haven’t got Tufan or Slater available.
