Just seen the highlights of the match and that Millwall penalty is a blatant, shocking dive. Cannot believe the referee has bought it! I've lost count of the number of shocking decisions that have against us this season. Yes, it didn't affect the result but these people saying decisions even themselves out haven't watched much of us this season. As for the Millwall player, he should be banned for a few matches to make him think twice before he does it again.
 
Hopefully we can keep getting the shocking decisions when we're several goals up, and they don't cost us points!
 
It's annoying, but I'm pretty relaxed about these things. Hoolahan did it against Watford (though not as ridiculous, at least it looked like a foul from where the ref was). The fact is all teams have players that will. It's part of the game. Until the FA are prepared to be serious about stopping it, I can't get wound up.
 
Did anyone see Forestieri's dive against Wolves that led to Sako's red card? Considering the Watford fans gave us **** about Hoolahan's dive I'm surprised I've not read more condemnation from their supporters about that!
 
This is why I can't understand why the FA is so against helping refs. And this season it seems every team has had an issue with the refs. The standard has been bloody appalling really.

Standard is no different and every team will have issues and have had issues probably since football was invented.

I just do not get ref bashing, it's part of the game and you have to be good enough to cope with the odd bad decision and take advantage of those in your favour.

Are you for or against video help for refs?

Exactly.

None of the footballing authorities see it as a serious issue to resolve, so I don't see why we should see it as anything other than part of the game.

So far this season, we have had at least 3 VERY dubious penalties awarded against us - we have had one in our favour.
Also, Howson's sending off was harsh and he had to serve the full 3 matches, so that AN opted to play Whittaker as a 'makeshift' midfielder against Brentford, yet a Chelsea player had his ban reduced to 2 matches.
All I ask for is a more level 'playing field' - is that too much to ask??????

This applies to all clubs. We are no different.

Be thankful the penalties we have had that were not denied.

People only seem to remember the bad decisions.
 
I can't believe referees aren't BEGGING for technology to help them! Week after week they are made to look total tossers by multi-angle cameras proving they have made a total balls up. They would be tha biggest beneficiaries of technological assistance <ok>
 
I think the clubs need to group together in an "Earn Respect" campaign.
Hawkeye have suggested they would be capable of calling offside within a second it was among the things that the Dutch were trialling but have been told to stop.
We are all about accepting poor reffereeing as part of the game but given how close things are a dodgey penalty or red card could cost a team ~£100m. There needs to be better accountabilty and I think if performances were independently, thoroughly and openly reviewed referees would become far keener to get help.
I also thing they should be obliged to talk to the media after the game

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I can't help wondering if the lack of motivation is that it would make it harder to match fix...
