Agree regarding the youth, Gaffer. In my haste to criticise the senior players at the club, I’ve tarred our youngers with the same brush! For the record, we should aim to keep the youngsters but I would like to see most the senior players shipped out.

I have said for years that we do need a video/system/process that at least some decisions could be reviewed by 4th official.

One thing that I was entertained by, PL bringing on a 2nd striker 2-up so late.....should have done that 3-4 games ago!

Apologies guys. I didn't start paying attention until half time. Not surprised it didn't last.

Tired of letting ipswich ruin my days, so I've decided finishing the season anywhere above 25th will be a bonus and while we remain 24th I'm content.

Let’s look on the bright side, we are still in the FA Cup.

Jesus christ, another lead under Lambert, did we win, no. Taken the lead 6/11 under Lambert, won once.

Made another article with my full views.

Today is the day we're essentially relegated.

Suppose if we beat Rotherham it's 7 points off with 19 to go - which would give us a squeak - but today feels the day we've blown it.

1-0 up, at home, and lose 3-2. Absolutely livid.

Congratulations Evans ! Your programme of asset stripping our Club over the last 10 years is finally coming together nicely for you, you got rid of 3 strikers in the Summer who contributed over 40 goals last season ( at a huge profit for you ) and now we are struggling to score, no surprises there, you got rid of our best defender ( once again at a huge profit ) and sure enough we are conceding penalties and goals and lie in a position of near certain relegation.
These are just examples of what's happened over the last few months without making reference to the preceding few years, well your long term plan for the ruination of ITFC is now nearly complete but for the rest of the season, your reputation for being reclusive is well known and its understandable that a ticket seller would seek to avoid the gaze of the Clubs supporters after all as the old saying goes " there's no point keeping a dog and barking yourself " and you certainly have your pet poodle rather than face the fans yourself.
Your reclusiveness is used to be considered just laughable but now anyone with a conscience would be too shamefaced to show themselves, I somehow doubt this applies to you.

First half we played some good stuff early. We looked confident and were giving it a right go against Millwall, pinning them in their own half for much of the first 20 minutes. We then started to force the issue a bit, hooking the ball long too quickly instead of playing through the lines like we had been at the start of the match.

Second half was completely different. Poor clearances and more long ball football had us continually under the cosh as we failed to retain any meaningful possession. Millwall got a boost from the penalty and started coming at us with new confidence. Spence screwed up by giving away a needless corner and that was a shame because I thought I might actually be able to write something positive about him today after some attacking efforts in the first 45. How Donacien isn't getting a look in I don't know. Pennington had a nightmare for the third, passing it back to Gerken when he should've just cleared it. One of those moments when you should punt it long. Gerken's kicks were atrocious again and cost possession a few times.

The positives are the young lads. Downes, Bish, Kenlock (even though he lost the ball a lot in the second half it was because he was trying to do the right things) and Lankester all played well for the most part. Lankester was guilty of holding on to the ball too long sometimes but he was really positive and drove forwards on a number of occasions. If we can keep hold of these lads they will all do well in League One, Evans will more than likely cash in on any that are worth more than a sack of spuds though. Jackson and Harrison will be alright at that level too.

Negatives are a terrible defence, Chambers and Spence need replacing, a 'keeper who can't kick and referees who just aren't up to the task.

Lambert eventually went two up top with 15 to go and was even encouraging Gerken to get up for a corner with 4 minutes extra time left. Too little too late though.

We may as well play with freedom now.

The lads should just accept that they are getting relegated and just go out and have some fun. There's no point putting any pressure on them now to pick up the results needed to stay in the league, may as well tell them to go out and enjoy the last few months in this division and see what happens.

Continue giving the players we own game time, stop playing the loanees as it doesn't benefit us in the long run and start looking at how the team will be setting up for League one football next season.

Sorry to say but I reckon this season is done and dusted now and plans now should be for next years attack on promotion.

    With the emphasis on bolic!
That really was beyond depressing,to start the game so well and then fail to finish them off was always going to cost us as our keystone kops defence is inevitably going to gift the opposition at least one goal.I'm struggling to see how we can dig our way out of this regardless who is brought in.

    Agree, we feel down.

However, you must never give up and we must go again v Rotherham. Somehow.

As the club is running a 1/2 price special at the Rotherham game, I’ll be there. It’s interesting & someone has brought this up before (either on here or another forum). I used to really look forward to my trips to Ipswich. I still enjoy going (& probably always will) but I remember I used to think on Friday that I couldn’t wait to go to the game tomorrow, not like that anymore

The last time I felt like that was when Magilton was in charge....think that tells you something about ME's reign.

Anything other than a win at Rotherham and literally all hope is lost

Evans could actually find it easier to find a buyer if we are a league one club. He might not be able to make any money on the sale but we will be worth a lot less and that may be favourable to someone who wants to take a punt on a club that has all the infrastructure needed to progress already in place and with smart investment could really go places.

He could probably recoup what he's put in (which won't account for much if you factor in profit from player sales) write the debt off and call it evens and get out.

Would Evans really write off the debt? That sounds a bit unlikely to me.
