Rich Cawley reporting on an interview with Millwall Director of Relegation Steve Gallen yesterday.

As Alan Partridge once said, it’s Deja vu all over again …although thank god it’s not us these days. Gallen - a complete charlatan of a player judge - wittering on about loans in January.

His famous “contacts book” ceased to be of any use around 2018, unless you like useless Spurs kids or foreign players from Man City’s 4th team, so let’s hope he continues to work his magic in SE8 <cheers>

Our fans gave Gallen a hard time initially, but are starting to warm to him now.
The summer signings are starting to gel, and he's getting our youngsters signing up on long contracts.
He has negotiated top dollar for Flemming, and used it to buy some quality players.

Luckily for Charlton, you have the even more impressive Andy Scott.
He doesn't need Spurs kids or Man City 4th team players or even a black book - all he needs is the number for the Luton Town retirement home <cheers>

Most Charlton fans would agree that when we signed Potts & Hylton we overdid the Luton schtick.

Luton fans on Twitter commented that Jones likes to surround himself with players he already knows & trusts, so it’s something we are going to have to live with.

Not wanting Alfie May and wanting to replace him with Godden should tell you all you need to know about Jones.
He really is Ian Holloway MkII

The Alfie May incident is when the alarm bells started to ring about Nathan Jones. It’s a managers job to make it work with all sorts of personalities in the dressing room. Who cares if May did not press and run around like a headless chicken ? His 23 goals in a crap team kept us up. To replace him with Ahadme & Godden is risible.

I initially thought NJ knew what he was doing letting May go ,not now , maybe Globals prediction of lower half finish is a real probability.

I'd suggest he has a limited budget and needs to go down this road.

Just been on the spanners message board, and there is a lot of love for Harris on there, but not much love for Gallen. There seems to have been unrest over the player recruitment.

@TC (Lovely Geezer) and @Ringo Lion what is the score down there?

It’s the same on Millwall Twitter.

Dozens of middle aged blokes wearinne Island clobber & flat caps …saying

“wos this all abarhtttt”

On a serious note, today is another reminder of why Millwall never, ever go anywhere as a football club.

The most delusional fanbase out there.

Even semi respectable fans like @Ringo Lion and @TC (Lovely Geezer) downing tools on their rag & bone carts to abuse ‘Arris.
Abuse Harris?... never!! he is like a best mate who you will question if you think he is making a wrong decision, "Stop playing one up front when we are at home", "Don't go defensive just because we are one nil up", "Don't shag that bird she's a moose"<cheers>
