When you see him targeting Nicky Clark, you think - shrewd move. Young, scoring goals for fun...

Then you read Daly and Miller <laugh>

It's a missed opportunity to start afresh, build strong foundations for the future and enthuse the fans. I was hoping we'd implement modern ideas used by successful clubs on the continent, and bring through a crop of talented, professional youngsters. I was hoping something positive would emerge from all the crap we've been through in recent times.

Instead, it looks like we're going to repeat the mistakes of the past. It's as if the management have learned nothing over the last 18 months. I despair.

It's a ****ing disgrace.

I'm not one for throwing about beels willy-nilly, but this is a shambles.

McCoist is ****ing hopeless, we play the most boring turgid ****e against guys who look fitter, and more clued up than our £7m a season full time players.

To make matters worse, the wean asked for another season ticket for next season too. <wah>

Thing is, even if we do sign and play all our youngsters, we'll still be ****e.

The tactics are too restrictive. If we're going to play 4-5-1 with 2 wingers all the way up to the SPL then fine. Make sure the Youths etc do it too. But for **** sake can we please commit more than 1 of the 3 central midfielders forward instead of holding them back all the time?

Last game of the season, how many times did Fraser Aird take 2 strides down the wing then cut back? How many times does Black/Hutton try make the killer ball? These instructions come from the manager.

The real shining light on a dull season was Lewis Macleod for me.

****s are dreaming if you think we should just be signing young players just cos we're in the lower leagues. We need experience as well as young players, sending a load of 19/20/21 year olds, who most likely won't have played many 1st team games, out into a match is suicide. It's ok saying they need to play to gain experience but how long would it be before fans started getting on the players back for not performing? We need the likes of McCulloch and the more experienced players to help these guys out. Miller and Daly are good signings, they may not be there when we get back into the SPL but they can help the club in the short term.

Plus, there's already a load of young players been brought into the team last year. It's no as if we've got a team full of journeymen and cloggers. ****s are too quick to judge before they've even seen anything.

Great post.

Too many ****n dreamers in our ranks that don't know the first thing about the game.

Would he not be better looking at 1st and 2nd division players who have been there/done that at that level to bring a mix of experience and youth?

2nd highest wage bill in Scotland ...for what? Daly's a donkey (ala Kyle) and Miller's a 33 year old has been. But, McCoist - carry on <laugh>

1. That's why he's trying desperately to sign Nicky Clark.

2. I don't think Daly's a donkey and there are still a few goals in Miller. Both are capable of doing a great job for Rangers over the next couple of seasons.

3. The wage bill's higher because most players don't want to play in the lower leagues and the only way of attracting them is by offering them more money than they'd get elsewhere.

There endeth the lesson young Pudsie <ok>
