The fact that it's now 3 games til the end of the season and this is the first article I've seen slating Williamson proves that he has had a good season.

Problem is the pessimists only remember his bad games of which I can remember only 2 (yesterday and Bolton away).

I seem to remember him being excellent against Blackburn away and Man Utd at home which was just over a week ago.

Saying all that I would like to see us get a first choice CB in and have Williamson and Taylor push them for a place.

Does nobody think that Simpson often get's exposed because of Barton. Barton often drifts into the center meaning Simmo is left to provide the width. Also when defending Barton often gets sucked into the middle meaning Simmo is left to defend by himself. I think if he had a proper winger in front of him, then he would perform much better.

If that is the case though why would Simpson drift inside rather than sticking with his winger? Agreed that Barton occasionally drifts inside, but generally when that is the case Tiote will drop to their left back to cover, Simpson doesn't get double teamed he just allows the one man he is responsible for to do what he likes by giving him far too much space.
