If that was the case then why did we have all the bickering pre season and even going into the season when it was Barton, Nolan and Harper as the leadership group.

Seasonal bonuses are agreed with the playing squad before each season. They are not put into 5 year contracts at point of signing.
I agree the seasonable bonuses would be agreed. But contractually you will either be entitled to it or not.

I would assume that playing staff and key personnel would be entitled to it.

It’s an incentive at the end of the day.

All employees were entitled to a share in the bonus
right down to green keeper and security if they were directly employed

I would say it would be the same in how a sales contract would work with commission. Nothing formally written down which can be changed with agreement.
