That’s just fiddling the figures to suit an argument.

Personally I think working age should be 67 not 65 as that’s state pension age at the moment. That of course would make the 33% less than 33%.
I'm not arguing, it's a fact I can still reproduce. As for fiddling figures, state pension age is not 67 at the moment. :emoticon-0138-think

And so to bed.

I don't accept the definition of an old person is somebody of 65 or over.
Working age is not a good measure for the argument we are having here.
Reproductive age would be a better indicator.

If the NHS figures were re-worked to show age groups 19 to 50 and 50+ for instance, I'm pretty sure that 33% would go up a lot.

You can’t say that anyone over reproductive age is old. That’s ridiculous. Who (apart from you) believes that to be true ?

That’s just defeatist. You seem to always say that everything’s too hard to change and we just have to accept our fate for better or worse. No we don’t - we have to fight against what is wrong.

Fight against it by all means. Good luck to you.

But reducing the population by 10 million undesirables sounds like something out of Mein Kampf.

Sorry I meant to reply to Lardi, not your good self. Now corrected. And yes state pension age is currently 66 but set to rise at a fixed point soon to 67.

So again I’ll ask - are you still claiming that reducing the population by 5-10 million won’t reduce NHS waiting lists ?

No, I don't think it would - as I stated clearly earlier.

But it's a waste of time arguing the matter.
The population of the UK will not be reduced by 10 million. It cannot be done.
It's a pipe dream.

One can always dream.

There are over a million foreigners claiming UC. That's pointless immigration. We have enough of our own people to do the menial jobs that pay minimum wage. I know enough youngsters who would love a job of any kind. That old chestnut of our people not wanting to work is an insult to the many who apply for hundreds of vacancies and never even receive a response.

Clear out all the migrants who are in prison, claiming the dole, sitting on NHS waiting lists, and anyone else who has never paid in to the system.

If we had a government with enough guts to get the job done, we could reduce the population and ease pressures on every public service.

Bringing the Nazis into the argument is just daft. No one is going to be gassed or machine-gunned in a pit. At the end of the day, this is our country and we are sick of people coming to take the piss.

And there are certain peoples who really do take the biscuit when it comes to rinsing the benefit system and taking precious social housing. It beggars belief that we allow this level of piss-taking.

Does it not rile you knowing your taxes are being tossed away on people who have never done a stroke since arriving here?

There is not a man-made cut-off date when you suddenly cease being fit & healthy and begin to suffer chronic conditions.
The closest thing to that in nature is the time of life at which fertility declines.
Around 50 years of age, broadly speaking.
You asked for evidence that the majority of people on NHS waiting lists are not old.

I give you evidence directly from the NHS itself.

You say you don’t accept that evidence even though it’s direct from the NHS.

You then come up with your own random ways of fiddling the figures with no evidence that your criteria are valid or accepted by anyone else other than yourself.

It’s getting ridiculous Lardi.

How can you possibly claim that everyone over reproductive age is old ? And is it different for men and women ? Are you taking an average or have you just dreamt up the age of 50. When do you deem women ‘old’ based on your ludicrous suggestion ? And men, who can still reproduce into their 70’s ?

Your arguments make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

What’s the point in asking for evidence if when quickly produced, you just say that that evidence is flawed despite it coming from the NHS itself and you just make up your own random criteria which anyone can see is nonsense ?

And as you’ve resorted to the typical far left tactic when your arguments are shown to be nonsense, of using disgusting insults against those that highlight your nonsense, this will be my final post on the matter.

“Something out of Mein Kampf” ?

That’s disgusting and shows you’ve lost the argument I’m afraid.

This is a toxic subject.
It is impossible to debate it in a reasonable manner.

You obviously don't appreciate how disgusting your opinions are to many people.
Just posting on this thread makes me feel sick sometimes.

If there is only mutual disgust between us - and I assure you it is mutual - there is no point me contributing anything further here,
So for the nth time I will do my best to abstain from being provoked into replying here again.

Unfortunately it is still my responsibility to read the content.
I will have to separate my personal feelings from the requirement of looking after the forum as a whole.
All I would ask is that our mutual disgust for each other remains on this thread. If it pollutes the rest of the forum that would be regrettable.
