Angle grinder update - two poles cut so far and still have all my fingers, though I cut the first one in a t-shirt and my right arm looks a little burnt.

Office stinks of burning anarl.

Quite like it though, the bloke in Gt Yarmouth who just knocked me for £3k should start checking his brakes. :bandit:

Edit: The cutting disks don't last fine minutes, got to back to B&Q now. <doh>

You fanny.

Always wear short sleeves using a grinder. And goggles. Never wear gloves.

Looking forward to seeing what happens now we have a proper target man (Martin). Would love it if we stay up to **** the owners up to paraphrase Keegan, but I just think our squad is too thin. At least there's one of own to support in Batty and maybe some of the other younger lads who weren't helped by senior arseholes like Macdonald recently

Been down in that there London with Mrs Tash looking after my Granddaughter, while daughter and husband had weekend away

Kew Gardens yesterday, bit of a wander round shops and eateries today. Really nice time

Challenged a barman today though when he tried to charge me £8.95 for one pint and a small lime and soda!
Barman “that’ll be £8.95 please”
Dennis “no it won’t”
Barman “sorry?”
Dennis “I should think you are”
Barman “........”
Dennis “I often drink in here and that pint’s not much over a fiver”
Barman “£5.30”
Dennis “there you go..,so you really reckon you’re going to charge me £3.65 for a dash of lime cordial and a squirt of soda water?!...I don’t think you are” (I failed to mention the fresh lime he’d cut to go in it)
Barman “ahh...ok...£5.45 then?”
Dennis”...err...yeah that’s fine”

I’m available to sort that Brexit stuff out if either side needs a tough negotiator with a proven track record.

I've posted it before, but it's worth a repeat in my view.

One of the London teams playing down here had some fans in pub that thought they'd pull a fast one on the thick northern monkey barmaid, by ordering 7 pints, taking some to the table, and then insisting they'd only got six, to blag a free pint.

Someone pointed it out to the barmaid, who just shrugged, winked and said "I know, that's why I've been charging them for nine each time".

How Weird you should put Mathis up. We saw a Johhny Mathis lookalike on a late night local bus in Santorini.
Well it was more like what Johhny would look like if he piled about 4 stones on.

Another canny coincidence - about three weeks ago I was watching a documentary series which included an episode about the Cyclades. One of the islands they docked at was Santorini. Looks like a beautiful spot - you must have enjoyed it. I've only ever been to Corfu in Greece, but loved it (40 years ago now, so less busy than today I imagine).
I know a lot of Greeks over here. I used to play/manage a football team over here for 35 years. The League when I started off was comprised of 80 % Scots. It's now about 85% Greek. Post match beer and kebabs is the order of the day - great fun off the pitch, crazy rivalries on the field. Still love it.
In case you didn't see the documentary it's on BBC iPlayer at the moment...
edit: give it about 20 seconds as the link (for me anyway) takes about that much before the episode starts.
