Meylers 1st touch of the game, an kicks it straight to them..................... sums him up really

I'm not going to slag off MP or the players, as I don't see the point until the owners leave. Despite that, we really should be making a beter fist of it with the players we started; it's just clueless football from beginning to end. Glad I couldn't get there tonight, this would have seriously pissed me off.

What really winds me up is that since conceding we've been massively better, had more of the ball and done more going forwards which is why I am so fed up of our starting tactics.

A lot of that is just down to them sitting back.

Bit of a misleading observation.

The **** was Clucas thinking about there? This goes back to that point about not converting openings into clear cut chances. Even when we had a good side last year it was the same. We seem to find ways to waste a good opening when it looks like we're almost certain to have a good chance.

Come on Fez. Even with the few players he does have at his disposal the selection tactics and game plan have been awful.

Meyler is our last throw of the dice. Nothing against him but he's not an attacking player is he. Yet that's all we've got for our third sub. But no that's not the problem is it, it's whose in goal or what formation we play.

Your logic is flawed. If it was as simple as teams on paper then there'd be no point in playing at all. It's about the team selection, the formation and the mentality and we're not helping ourselves with any of them. The way we started the season tells you we can play.

Since Phelan has had options available he seems to have gotten most of them wrong. We're seeing baffling ****e not dissimilar from when Brown went off the rails.

The Allams are to blame for any lack of quality the squad may or may not have, but playing like this we'll never know. If the buck ended at the Allams for performances like this there'd be no need to pay attention unless it were during a transfer window.

What do you think a manager does?
